You blokes have been linked to a lot of players this year, mids and key forwards. Cameron, Daniher, Crouch, Viney, Higgins.

Obviously, you won't land them all and could probably only afford the one (possibly two?). Who do you think is most likely?

He would be bargain basement now surely ... they have killed has value not playing him ... and in an era of conversion wins games..he is a very good kick..

He's got 2 years left on his current contract at GC & pretty sure I've read it suggested his contract is around $500k per season

So, if we want him cheap in terms of the trade cost we'd be taking on his whole salary & surely there's questions if he's currently worth that value

If we want GC to take on some of his salary then we'd be paying more at the trade table

He has two years left on contract... IF we wanted him... id offer him a chance to play for us but it must come at a haircut... we get his contract of their books , and smooth his contract over 3 years instead of 2. Maybe 350/400 with incentive based on performance..

The question is do we want him...he has lost a bit of prestige not getting a game for GC..

The fact that none of the quartet have been able to establish themselves is not great evidence of savvy drafting. You’d expect at least one or even two should be regulars by now.

At his best he was marking some overhead .. but he seems to have lost that... now look at the way we hit Hawkins... I think he would struggle in our side.

Really hope you are right about this. And I think the signs are positive for both of them for 2021, based on the narrative around the club regarding their development this year.

And, Stephens emerging in particular (alongside the possible acquisition of an experienced inside mid) would certainly have a few of the 'nearly' players rightly questioning their ongoing prospects at the Cattery.

Even before the coming announcements around ongoing list contraction complicate the issue, you just can't keep them all. So, as has been said here often before, striking the right balance will be the critical matter.

And the players concerned probably now have a song on just about constant rotation in their heads...
