Ceglar IMO is better than Stanley.
Stanley has shown on a number of occasions that he isn't up to it.
Really just not sure what the deal is with Ratugolea, who just doesn't look like a ruck or a forward..
But Scott loves him.

And depending on how much of Ceglars salary the Hawks will continue to pay, it could work out we're paying less out of our own pocket for him then we were for Fort

If the account of that conversation is accurate then can't see how it paints Wells in a bad light - the response seems accurate , professional and unemotional - just stating the facts. Just what you would expect from Stephen

I reckon it makes him sound a touch condescending but I read into things a touch too much at times - given that others agree with you maybe I’m wrong.

Either way, it’s an odd thing to unequivocally state that a conversation went a certain way when it didn’t.

It’s a fair deal. Ceglar is by far the more proven ruck at AFL level, but Fort has the benefit of being a couple of years younger.

That wouldn't be great, I agree. But there was never anything about this trade that was remotely ideal.

Again ppl keep saying that like it’s set in stone. If it’s a future pick it’s the equivalent to about #15 draft spots + Fort. Hardly something to be happy about

They've only really taken one player from us that could have seemingly kicked on at the Cattery, though. Nakia is a shadow of what he might have been. And, as he did at Geelong, Fort will play plenty of seconds footy up here.

I doubt we'd even use pick 50 this year especially if we pick up Schlensog or another DFA. I'd prefer the future 3rd in what should be a much deeper draft when we'll likely have a bunch of retirees.

Couldn't agree more. If either Fort or Ceglar end up being 'important senior players' at their respective clubs next year, I think that team is going to be in some serious trouble.
