The only problem with this is the AFL's rule on stockpiling later picks.Seen the news about Collingwood trading Suns for picks 22,46,58.
Which would leave them: picks 22,36,41,43,46,48,58 = 2957 points...
Now they won't need 22, so I have been playing with a three way (Geel, Coll, WBD) trade that would suit all parties... Here goes.
- To work a trade for Darcy Fort for picks 50&60 is needed.
Geel IN pick 17 (WBD), 22 (Coll) - 1937 in points
OUT Kruger, pick 30, 32, 34, (above 50&60) - 2153 in point
Coll IN Lips, Kruger, pick 34 (542 points)
OUT pick 22 (845 points)
WBD IN picks 30, 32, 50, 60 (1611 in points)
OUT pick 17 (1025 points), Lips
In all Collingwood get 2 player for a cost of 303 points, they already have enough with the GC trade.
Geelong move up the draft and can take 17,22 and 54 to the draft (plus anything we get in a future deal with Clark)
WBD Increase points to 1611 would need 1787 points to match a bid at pick 3 so only 175 points short of that...
I thinks everyone walks away happy thoughts?
Pies would need to have seven list spots open (34, 36, 41, 43, 46, 48 & 58) and WBD five list spots (30, 32, 50, 60 & 75)
Pies list OUT: Mayne, Greenwood, (Tohill a rookie)
Pies list IN: Lip, Kruger,
Cutting 7 from our OOC list: Cox, Sier, Lynch, Rantall, J Thomas, Pendles, D Cameron. This is a bit deep.
