I'll be honest, that's a steal for us, for a kid whose shown a little but nothing consistent and shows a lack of application off field.

Id say it slightly differently. Its a bit of a mulligan. They have a chance to redraft someone close to what they paid. Having had him not pay..they could have been looking at a SPS type situation.

If we can add someone who is a better fit and close to the same talent , we will be lucky.

If there is a VFL this year (COVID)…
Any player moving from WA to Vic in this lockdown environment would be very nervous unless they were a Best 22 AFL lock in a Top 4 team. Long way to go to potentially NOT play any footy. At least over there they can play WAFL.

Not sure if it’s been posted in here but Scott Gullan’s article today about Scott signing a new deal also mentions other coaching positions. Says Grigg likely to have increased role. And Solomon and Troy Chaplin are possible inclusions.

I wonder if the devil is the fine print. Id like to think the club has taken the issue out ... but has the chance to change their mind if need be. Isn't there something like a 6 months clause for all coaches now. Nothing is going to matter soon if we do not change our recruitment and selection philosophy.

Well he didn't have that many bad games this year, he only was really shit in 3 games its just funny that one of them was Rd 3 against us. But he was pretty good for the Hawks this year, I just worry at his age and over the last few years he has played 12 games, 13 games, 15 games, 11 games and in 2016 he played 19 games which is the most he has in a season.

If you assume Knevitt lasts to 22 then it’s probably the preferred deal. Get the extra pick next year.
