We buckled,we always do,everyone knows it, but just heard rendell say we are good blokes.Thats ok but just want to win a trade.
Maybe we can offer young unestablished players from interstate clubs, better contracts to return to victoria , well done to freo didn't part with 19.

How did we buckle when Freo finally agreed to the trade offer we put on the table a week ago?

Clark has more to give, he played a full season as 18 year old and did well, mackie was in a similar spot early days, too late now.

Gregson had an excellent first year a few years back too, that worked out well.

I thought it was a future pick we traded for Cegler not one of this years picks.

He isnt a crows player, they already sacked him so he's a delisted free agent, he will be a Cat when the DFA period opens dont stress.

The Cats are now working through how they will add Stengle to their playing list – given he was technically still on the Crows’ list in 2021 and could be facilitated via a trade.

However, the most likely scenario will see Stengle move as a delisted free agent following the trade period.

How do you work that out. They wanted to give pick 22 only and we negotiated a f3 as well how is that buckling?

Actually they wanted to give pick 27, They then traded an F3+27 for Pick 22, which we then got another F3 added to. Can't complain, got paid a fair price for his potential and way overs for his output so far.

Similar. But I think he was recruited as a running half back and we (I reckon Scarlo) wouldn't play him there. London to a brick Freo will.

Problem is... playing half back is fine.
But if you can't tackle coz you've got spaghetti arms with no shoulders you become a liability.

I'm starting to think you're a Freo, Hawks or Richmond supporter, with ridiculous opinions like this...

Ask WC if they think we 'rolled over' in the Kelly trade? They're still bitching about it.

We just got Ceglar and half his wage paid, for what will end up being around Pick 44 once bids come in, for a Brisbane Future 3rd - which will likely be 50+.

We got Tuohy a while back for a 3 pick downgrade and Smedts, who we couldn't wait to give away.

We got 19 for Motlop, which turned into Ablett and TK for Motlop, which turned into JC, Cooper Stephens, Pick 30 and Pick 32.

We didn't get JC for free, but we still got him for 15, 18 and 25, with 30 and 32 coming back (separate deals were 15 and 18 for Cameron and 32 + 25 for Essendon Future 2nd - 30)

But yeah..shit we're just terrible at the trade table.

Notable Losses: Smedts, Pick 9, Pick 28, Gore, Pick 17, Pick 19, Smedts, Fogarty, Motlop, Clark

Notable Gains: Cameron, Ablett+TK, Dangerfield, Tuohy, Henderson, Higgins, Pick 16 (Stephens), Pick 22, Pick 30, Pick 32, Pick 22 - and whatever other little trades we did along the way

That's why they need to wait until trading period is over and we move to dfa.

Correct..some clubs will have more picks than list spots to use them (brisbane) other clubs will need to trade down for points (dogs, pies) so lots of pick swaps will happen in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we can trade up to 23 or 27 if not R1.

If the Pies and Dogs keep them then our picks slide to 28, 30 & 32 with 50 coming into 42 due to all those picks (8) being consumed in matching.
