Not sure what's worse for Constable. That Freo are preferencing Blakely or that there was a subtle inference of West Coast not really promoting any young mid, and still aren't interested.
Unlikely now they have taken the Dogs player. From listening to Wells yesterday I reckon we are a big chance to get him.

If you are correct..then its not great timing as that may be when a Tas side enters the comp...any time 2025.2026... so. IF we are at the bottom, trying to rebuild without talent in the draft... we will be in a world of hurt for an extended period.

Here’s a whacky idea but hear me out: maybe we should replace each football player that retires with another football player. Try and get good ones, maybe even better ones than we’ve got.

it is a big whoop if you actually want to win a premiership. Cos we aint winning one with our midfield last year and next year danger, selwood, guthrie, duncan are older again. So we only get Worse.
you yourself have said many times we aint winning a flag with the next batch of midfielders And should get rid of the likes of parfitt and narkle and well thats kind of the only mids we have under the age of 29.
But flags is not what a lot of posters are after now is it. Lets be honest. You know we cant win one with this midfield. Its no big whoop. Some of you now appear to just be after proving some sort of blood oath to the cult of chris scott and pissing off real supporters. Kind of like trumpians who just like to piss off democracts. Your in it to piss others off. Thats what support is like for a certain group of geelong posters now. Its not about flags. Flags are no big whoop.
Terrible approach. You dont get draft picks with retired players And those retired players keep you middle road and prevent you from earning better draft picks. Its a double hit.
if you cant win a flag now and you are man enough to know it you trade a large chunk of your best players who wont be in the current window. Get draft picks for them and then fall down the ladder a bit for a couple of years and get better draft pick rankings.
What you are advocating is the nth melbourne approach from the 2000s. How did that pan out? 20 years of mediocrity And a slow fall to the bottom.

Paying way overs TBH. About 300pts when is said and done. we have 3 3rd rounders next year, rather offload one of them.
