He may be lying, of course.Seems like there’ll be a lot of good options at our picks this year. I can understand why Wells said we’re targeting MIDs.
Yep, he generally keeps his cards very close to his chest. He may be lying, of course.
Or engaging in constructive misdirection of other clubs.
Have you you been in a moon boot or plaster in the last two years if not your a slim chance at best,of cause there is always the who the **** is JTG surprise pick with our first.Yep, he generally keeps his cards very close to his chest.
He generally surprises so my name may even get called out.

Sonsie was very highly rated as a 16 year old. Could be another Charlie SpargoTyler Sonsie is a chance to fall our way- got a knee injury, PLUS the interrupted season, he's hardly been seen. Gun player.
Sam Banks - love the kids attitude. Beautiful kick of the footy. Quick. Tick.
Ive been to the moon does that count?Have you you been in a moon boot or plaster in the last two years if not your a slim chance at best,of cause there is always the who the fu** is JTG surprise pick with our first.
Yeah think its a maturity thing on Tassie kids, you kind of live and breath footy during the year at your club and when you hit the big smoke so many more options in life, so very good names on that list that just didn't click at AFL level the best on that list would be Adrain Burdon as a junior playerLooks good, but I’m a bit more wary of drafting Tassie boys than those from other states. There are a few exemptions, but on the whole not great reading here…

I agree we just traded a player with same kicking style no no no, B Smedts the 2ndDo not want.
We need players will skill.
Shifter Sheahan keeps blowing our cover: I like Rayson but he talked him up on SEN. He did the same with Brown. He needs to funnel this oil quietly to the Cats. Oh well, he's a man of principle.
I'd say if a recruiter wasn't thinking about picking them at this late stage of the year, anything Sheahan says isn't going to change that, haha.
Any recruiter worth their salt has surveyed the top 100+ prospects, so very rarely is anyone a 'secret' (unless it's someone Wells plucks from nowhere like Evans). They're only a secret to us plebs in the stands, and what we think and say has no bearing on anything - so it doesn't make a shred of difference.
Point is, I wouldn't worry yourself too much over whether one of our 'secret' picks may be getting more exposure - as none are secret to those tasked with discovering this talent in the first place.
TL; DR, guarantee that if we know about them in some way, shape or form, they know about them - so it's no great secret that Sheahan has revealed

Horne-Francis/Daicos.
Darcy/Callaghan/Ward/Erasmus.
Then there are roughly 20 I'd have on parr.
With another 20 in that group below that.
Given this, I'm seeing the value being in the second round.
If I'm picking this year, I'd trade my first round picks for second round picks, as this year is a lot like 2009, there isn't that meaningful difference between the first 20 and second 20, with Horne-Francis and Daicos that only two really a long, long way ahead of the pack as projected best-10 in competition midfielders for the future with good development.

Knightmare has us taking Conway, Alleer, Sheldrick and Lord.

Interesting that Wells has said we're targeting midfielders, but that draft has our four picks as a ruckman (Conway), intercept defender (Alleer), Sheldrick (mid!), rebound defender/HBF (though Lord could probably develop as a mid?). It doesn't seem consistent with what the club has publicly stated.
(Though with a name like Alistair Lord, we can't not draft him.)
I’ll eat my hat if we take Conway. Particularly with our first.
The more I get to know the players in this year’s draft (those especially predicted within the first 2 rounds), the more likely I see us trading our future 1st to get someone who we really rate and sliding on draft night. Bookmark this in

I can't see it given next year's draft crop has some really good key position talent. The more I get to know the players in this year’s draft (those especially predicted within the first 2 rounds), the more likely I see us trading our future 1st to get someone who we really rate and sliding on draft night. Knightmare's take on this year's draft is great news for us:
Here are some players drafted in the 2nd round from the 2009 draft:
- Nathan Fyfe
- Ryan Bastinac
- Jake Carlisle
- Mitchell Duncan
- Jack Gunston
- Max Gawn
- David Astbury
- Jamie MacMillan
- Sam Reid
- Benjamin Stratton
Don't have the list spots to do it, so can't see it happening IMO. We're already stretched as it is, without adding another pick into the mix.
Not to mention that I'm sure the club would be well aware that we're on a downwards trajectory, so trading a Future 1st could be a disaster if we missed finals, and we gave up a Top 10 pick the following year.
