West Coast think Rioli is worth more than pick 27. Evans for pick 27 is fairWhy would we delist Evans instead of trading him to Port Adelaide? I would have thought he would be worth a future 3rd pick at least.
Well they are allowed to - just like they are allowed to question Parfiits kickingIt was only a matter of time before a story like that about Holmes would appear. Journos can't resist stirring the pot.
I was however a bit surprised he wasn't included a bit more in the post-game acknowledgements and general jubilation; after all we may have not beaten the Pies without him.
On another note, i don't get why people question O Henry's mobility: he would be no less athletic than his brother who was a champion junior decathlete.

Trying to get an entire line of Ollie’s?Apparently Cats are showing a lot of interest in Olli Hotton.
I don't think it's going to make or break a trade period. I think it's a sign we want to make it easier for players to get somewhere as a DFA and Wellsy and Mackie are going to have too much on their plate to worry about a future 3rd.Why would we delist Evans instead of trading him to Port Adelaide? Yep just saw it... Pick 22. Interesting.I still think Essendon is a possibility, due to points needed for the Davey twins, IMO
Brayden George is my smokey if he slides deep enough not all will be interested in a bloke with an ACL who most likely doesn't play next year he has Wells stamped all over him.Do we?? I know a lot of banter on our pages indicate it.
But thats just us... The BF Cats nuffies... yes yes i am one of them lol.
But do we really... Does wells/mackie think the same way?
Are we more enamoured with Cadman? Wells perfect replacement for Hawkins in 2 years time??
Does Wells rank Elijah Tsatas the 2nd best Mid?
Does he think the other Elijah is better than most pundits think?
Is Brayden George a similar yet different version of Dusty Martin?
Looking at our list going forward i am trying to see what is needed in 2025-26 not the next two years as they would be lucky to have any real impact IMO.
What have the list managers been doing behind the scenes regards of a few future free agents or potential trade targets.
I think that there will be a few picks that will blindside the so called draft guru pundits this year.
Yep just saw it... Pick 22. Interesting.
22 = 845 points
37+47+52+55= 1252
We can even take their 59 back if they haven't got enough list spots.
Still be 250+plus points in hand for Davey Jnr.
Alwyn*Are they Aaron Davey's kids? That makes me feel very old.

Spot on, and exactly what I've been thinking.

Bris will trade out early as their kids are cert to be bid in r1. Daveys might not get a bid til the 30s so essendon would be silly to trade down 22 now they only do it on the night once a bid comes imo..and we need to do the pick swap in trade week as we dont have the list spots to carry the picks to draft night.
The only way i reckon we can upgrade our 2nd is if we can convince gc to send us 25 or 32 in the bowes trade .
Yeah good will is more valuable than a pick in the 70sPort wouldnt have given a future 3rd for him it would have been like a pick in the 70s at best. Can see why we just delisted him so he can get there.
Alwyn*
Aaron played for Melbourne, haha. Very common mistake
Cause he is no realistic chance to crack our side and for his benefit allow him freedom of movement. Why would we delist Evans instead of trading him to Port Adelaide? I would have thought he would be worth a future 3rd pick at least.
Consensus opinion all last year and this year though, is that Alwyn Jnr goes inside the Top 20, so 22 would likely get eaten up. If we can guarantee the points before the draft starts for both of them (Twomey has Davey Jnr at 15 and Jayden has been stated as being within the Top 50 but could be later due to his ACL) - then we might not have to wait until draft night - as they'd be able to match Alwyn, but also have extra later picks for some sliders and Jayden if he's taken in the ND
It’s all coming togetherTrying to get an entire line of Ollie’s?
Me too. I just looked him up and he played exactly 100 games.Surprised Alwyn played 100 games tbh
Would it be fair to say that getting Henry would give us our very own Gunston 2.0. Have always wanted a player like him.
He will thrive under Hawkins and Cameron mentorship imagine him and Stengles unleashed it would be a dazzling comboGunston is more of a combo of 3rd tall/KPP (being 193cm's), whereas the player Ollie most favourably compares to for me, is Dan Menzel. Same height, agility, amazing mark overhead and lots of tricks in the trick bag. Was rated by the Falcons as the best of their kids in that draft and recent drafts, and rated by recruiters as 'the more naturally talented of the brothers when comparing Jack and Ollie' - which is really saying something given how athletic and talented Jack is.
There's a reason Pies fans have had a meltdown over this - the kid has genuine x factor, and some of the stickiest hands I've ever seen
