I'm surprised about the futures, not only re Bowes, but it leaves us very thin for picks next year when we are likely going to have to fill quite a few list spots

and I know it is said every year .... but it is a draft that is expected to better than this year and it has talls. We must be planning to go. FA's

We've won the flag and a good chance of going back to back whilst bringing in 3 young players. It's not an issue.

These players don't land your doorstep every year.

I would sell the farm to get these trades done. This is a generational trade period at just the right time for us.

I can only assume ... that there must have been. a heap of comp for that pick 25 ....id Im not 100% sure the Pies smile and take it. It will be begrudgingly given imo.

Cause that what it took to get the deal over the line, its not like Carlton were sitting there with pick 26 and willing to do the trade for just 38, 48 and 55

Agreed they need that for Dunkley, and pick 25 seems to be the only pick on offer ( in that range )

We only need 1 pick in the draft. Rookie Clohesy and Riccardi.

I think you would need more than 58 and 64 for an f3 and im not sure sav gets an f2 on his own.

Any chance they try and swap 7 this year for similar next year (trade to north would be nice but not realistic. But maybe west coast or Adelaide or hawthorn? Someone desperate to take a lot this year)

Next year draft is supposed to be better in terms of quality and we will have so many potential spots next year (have over 20 coming out of contract at end of 23 and only half a dozen must extende type players). Just wonder whether we might load up for next year instead of this year given tight spots?

With Jye it doesn’t matter if we don’t get him this time as he will come and play for us 2 years later anyway!

Roughly but in our case its not about the points its closing deals.

Brisbane offered pick 21 but Mackie being Mackie turned them down, laughed manically, and said "Nah the Pies can have 25, stuff em"

58 is almost useless ,...especially this year. All good if we get it done ..
