Agree on Oliver, but your point on De Goey doesn't really make sense. Are people taking the pi55 here saying they wouldn’t want Oliver? One of the top few mids in the league in his prime? In our weakest position. Deadset glad anyone here isn’t on the club committee. Also don’t give me the “no dickhead” policy. Same people probably said they same about De Goey, how’d he go on the weekend?
Yeah I haven't seen a whole lot of him, but from what I have seen I tend to agree with this. He’s not a star but I don’t mind the idea of Harmes. Has a bit of pace and aggression and would be a good add to our midfield mix.
What space is that?Seriously why people would want a 28 year old mid whose in contract is beyond me.
We are not in that space anymore.

If we are going again next year, we'll need a player who can go with JDG, Daicos, Trac etc.Yeah I've always liked him. Bit of Isaac Smith in him with the 'loveable larrikin' side - but a real tough edge on game day.
No standout traits, but for a cheap price, could be one worth bringing in to facilitate the next gen transition.
Confirmed that North are getting pick 3 for McKay, what an absolute load of crap, complete spud

Playing well doesn't change that he's a dickhead, and I don't think anyone ever questioned his ability.
There's being a bit of a flog on the field, and then there's harrassing/assaulting women. Two very different things.
Hopefully only as a wingman at least for another three or so yearsGot some intel late today regarding our midfield stocks which I thought was worth sharing.
Mullin is one the coaches see as transitioning to a midfield role. Has the tank - has the skills - and they like the explosive ability away from contests. He’s a strong unit, and along with Rohan and Holmes, consistently amongst the fastest blokes in testing.
Chris Scott loves him and it might explain why they got games into him this year ahead of what some expected.
Will be an interesting watch to see how he develops over summer.

When will people get their heads around this? We are never NOT in that space. The goal of the Geelong Football Club is to win a premiership every year.Seriously why people would want a 28 year old mid whose in contract is beyond me.
We are not in that space anymore.
My point was you take dickheads if they do what De Goey done this finals and this season
Just what will be the cost... he can run but I doubt Hawkins will enjoy the delivery

I see him developing into a solid role player, perhaps locking down a back pocketI hope I'm wrong but I don't see an AFL player with Mullin.
Contracted so Dees will push for moreNo idea for Harmes? Third rounder? Or am I undervaluing him?
Contracted so Dees will push for more
And there's growing up and pulling your head in.Agree on Oliver, but your point on De Goey doesn't really make sense.

And likely the reverse-the fellowship of belonging to, arguably, "the world's greatest club" probably helped his rehabilitation. There’s dickheads and there’s dickheads. De Goey as much as he’s pushed the boundaries (his actions towards women especially) didn’t alienate himself from the playing group, coaching group and medical group at his club as far as I’m aware.
Clayton Oliver- what an awesome way to add to our OLLIES.Harmes is an 'OK' player, I guess. But I just can't see him as a difference-maker for us around the ball. Would far prefer to load games into our young tyros than to whack lots of games into such a limited (albeit experienced) player. If Parf is staying, we'd be better trying to push him harder, for a start. And the 'cost' will be much cheaper at this stage as well.
To my mind, if we're after serious midfield reinforcements, they'd want to look more impressive than him if they're truly going to move the needle on our 2024.
