The banter in the 'real day at the races' thread got me thinking...

If you've already ordered, is it OK to have a look at the menu as long as you don't order again?

I don't see a problem in that theory but it is not the theory my Wife and I use.

We try to reinforce not looking at all and go by the theory similar to ...

'Your thoughts become your words, your words become your habits, your habits become your characteristics and your characteristics define who you are' ... something along those lines.

Same goes for Divorce... we don't even joke about it, it might start out as a harmless joke but if it becomes habit and then it is used as leverage in an argument it can develop further rifts... and enough rifts might lead to it actually happening.

This theory has been working great so far. :D

BTW - I hope this is along the right lines and the topic isn't actually about food menus ;)
