Don't think there's anything wrong with saying Steph is below par. Production is down, turnovers are up. A function of the extraordinary amount of attention he is getting on the court. Maybe off the court too.

Thankfully Steph is humble and smart enough to take the shots when they are there and share it around when they aren't. Doesn't try to compensate with hero ball.

Also helps we have a handful of guys who can step up on any given night.

Steph wasn't below par. 7/11 is incredibly good (particularly because he missed his first 2 shots - I think).

He just didn't need to take over.

It's not that he was that bad. He was pretty good when he was on the floor, better than game 1. There's also more things attached to his performance than just being 7/11.

It's more to do with his bar being set so high that his "below par" would be considered a very good game for most other players.

You are right. Steph's 36 minute numbers for game 2 were 26/13/6 shooting 63% from the field and 50% from 3s. Do that for a full season and you'd be a unanimous MVP.

By all reports the cavs were locked in at practice before the game. But the dubs guys were lackadaisical, taking half court shots etc. And it showed in the first quarter.

Expect a much better showing next game. Also expect to see Steph step up after the criticism he copped. Similar to kyrie last game.

Stating the obvious, but really missed Green.

If he was out there you get a feeling instead of it being 61 all at the half, we would have been up by close to 10.

Really disappointing to not win when Klay has such a great game.

Having said that, LeBron showed exactly why he's such a great player and Irving had the best game of his career. Really hoping things return to the norm for him in Game 6.

I feel that we're the kind of team - particularly this season - that can't coast to an easy series win.

We will do it the hard way.

Barnes needs to lift appreciably - that was a seriously shocking return from him.

Winning this series will be all about D.

You don't want to let guys like LBJ and Irving feel the flow in their shooting early, or they'll cut you up for the rest of the game.

61 apiece at HT yesterday was always a bad sign.

Dubs can always find a way to score in a low scoring game, whereas dry up the main men for the Cavs early and they really lack a Plan B.

Gotta be. Dray doing the double cobra over the lifeless, heavily concussed body of Kevin Love is the image of the finals.
I'd say James blocking then trash talking Curry after he just dropped 40+ back to back in instant elimination games has gotta be the highlight.

Everyone is saying we are missing Bogut on defense. His screens are a big reason he's so important. You can see that when Andy V is out there setting a screen. It's about the only time Curry gets a clear look.

Also Barnes has been aids. Even an average game in any of the last two and we'd be NBA champions.

With Barnes MIA and Iggy injured, we have no offense. They can crowd Steph and Klay all they like. There aren't any consequences atm.

We're in a world of pain unless there are big changes in output on both D and O tomorrow. I've got a feeling of dread tbh.

Really, really need a good start. Cast some doubts early. Get stops on LBJ.
