Blues fans genuinely blaming the umps online geez
absolute montyI wonder if Mills will be in despite only one game in the reserves.
After a world record 7 x 50m the previous week, suck it up buttercupBlues fans genuinely blaming the umps online geez
Didn’t someone dig up some test results that showed McLean is a lot faster than he looks? Guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If he’s not getting first hands on the ball he’s too slow.It really showed when Amartey was leading and presenting all night and chasing how slow McLean is.

McInerney you could maybe argue that the force should be low given he didn't have a HIA?I don't think we can really argue the Jmac or Amartey one
absolute monty
Who said he has ? you ?Why's Buller jumping ahead of Mclean hardly done anything , though both might play
I prefer some of Chads left foot goals from nowhere over this bloke with no confidence in his kicking
Who said he has ? you ?
Here it is.

We have done this for over a year now. Reliant is Cripps like now imoYes Warner and Heeney were awesome. Should we be worried how much we rely on those two? That said, the team response after that flaccid first quarter was immense.
Hamling was there to nullify Weitering. Did quite well. Held him to 13 disposals, 1 mark, 1 tackle, 5 intercepts.
I think I enjoyed Grundy's celebration even more than the goal. Papleyesque!
Yep JMac’s should be a fine. Shouldn’t have done it, but no harm no foulHaving watched the replay of McInerney's so called hit on Silvagni and compared it to Merrett's hit on Blakey, I am convinced we have been diddled.
Blakey's head was rocked back when he was hit and Merrett got off.
Silvagni's "hit" was mostly histrionics. There was no visible rocking of his head. I would describe it as a "near miss" brush accentuated by him reacting to seeing McInerney coming through and looking for a free. There was no way that could be described as medium impact.
Yep and if you look at the second half numbers of Sheldrick he completely went missing 5 touches 1 effective in a half after 16 touches with 12 effective in the first.I’m not sure it is such a bad thing to rely on your best players. We also relied a fair bit on Grundy, Amarty and TMac.
And when Gulden, Mills and Papley return - will we be complaining if we are relying on them plus Warner and Heeney?
And as others have noted, Sheldrick’s terrific efforts in the first half helped keep Heeney and Warner fresh for the second half.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some players who need to lift - but they will also be the players who make way when our stars return.
With this many outs, you take a win however you can get it. Awesome effort this week to my mind.
This is a good well thought out post, in response to another good well thought out post.Yep and if you look at the second half numbers of Sheldrick he completely went missing 5 touches 1 effective in a half after 16 touches with 12 effective in the first.
Shows exactly your point Sheldrick went deep early so that Heeney and Chad could finish off the job.
I also don't think people understand the ruck contest that well, we beat a +4 clearance differential team by 9 when we are a net 0 team. We also beat a centre clearance team of +2 differential by 3 when we were a -2 side. Grundy is having I'd argue top 5-6 ruck season in the comp
Good post as wellThis is a good well thought out post, in response to another good well thought out post.
Great point RE Sheldrick and the work he did in the first half which meant Heeney and Warner had the legs to go deep in the second half.
I do hope it gives Cox that peace of mind that he was obviously after in relation to Sheldrick and his role and whether there was a spot available for him.
I'd love to see if Mills is ready him come back in for McInerney and just push JJ onto McInerney's wing and then play Mills off half back and let him play the Rozee role for a couple of weeks where he comes up to be the extra mid on the defensive side of stoppage.
Think this will not only allow Sheldrick to get games but also ease Mills back into it whilst also giving us better structure and its a genuine role I think Mills plays best in
Is that more that the small forwards turned up or Ladhams actually impacting comparative to McLean? So much better not having McLean out there you cannot in todays game be as slow as the Queen Mary out there
It shouldn’t have taken this long but glad we dropped him. Having an ounce of pressure in the forward line was so important this week
Sheldrick is better than Adams give me him over Adams ever day of the week for Sydney, unless your bringing in Adams over Corey Warner who looks in a stinker run of form I'd hate to see them chuck Gus to the curb after providing fit in the first halfI’d be more inclined to bring Adams back than Mills still feel we need to have Mills play a FULL reserves game first (this week). Look at him coming back in 2 weeks with JMac too and maybe Melican
