Absolutely disgusting match. Slovakia looked fast but their attack on the goals was awful. New Zealand looked lulzy all match until Shane Smeltz finally did something.

Dead rubber anyway. Paraguay and Italy are 99.99% to qualify.

Really the whole team ****ed up, including the coach, who made some late subs to send the message to his team to just hold on.

Slovakia should have won that 2-0 or even 3-0, but relaxed for the last 15 minutes and just tried to hold on.

Smeltz's cross wasn't really anyone's fault, although the marking on the goal scorer was terrible.

Every time Slovakia attacked they went in quick only then to slow it down and do nothing, then to pass it to Hamsik who would blaze it 400 metres over. Still interested to see how he plays in this tournament but not impressed just yet, only one game though. Weiss goes alright.

Loved that result. Amazing that when a side plays with a bit of positivity as NZ did things like that can happen. I thought defensively they were pretty impressive, if a slovak player got free they'd quickly get behind the ball, hold them up. A few anxious moments but did pretty well, and seemed to play well together. If they had a decent right sided midfielder could've created a few more chances, seemed to be space out there all night.
