Surprised they didn't try and link installing more cameras, decreasing speed limits on 3 lane hwy's, 40km zones on fwy's when NO work is bring done etc etc will stop lunatics driving into people, 16 yr olds robbing jewellery shops, junkie scum doing 90km in residential areas.......

Well the A/C motor was reinstalled yesterday arvo. Three tech's showed up to ensure they had all hands on deck.

I was at work and spoke to Missus Toes by phone a half hour after they'd left.

"Ok, so how'd they go? All good now?" I asked.

"Nup, upon switching it on with one bloke in the ceiling space watching the motor, and another switching it on at the thermostat on the wall, it burnt out almost immediately. They were perplexed, pissed off, and out of ideas after Lennox washed their hands of the issue from the manufacturer's end. It's over and will require full replacement with an entirely new A/C system" came the reply.

This morning I headed back to work.................

That would actually be good as it doubles as our home's ducted heating and the house is bloody freezing in Winter, being so old and hence so poorly insulated. The window glass is way thinner than current day code allows and there's thin walls, air vents to outside high up the inside walls, thin plaster, draughts galore and floorboards throughout with nothing but thin air between them and the dirt a metre below the house. That all adds up to it being as hot or cold inside as it is out, and will be the reason we bulldoze the mofo rather than renovate, despite it being a great looking clinker brick and leadlit home which fits perfectly with the area.

I looked into the house insurance policy re. fused motors today also Gasometer and you're correct, they do pay for a full replacement.......................as long as said motor's no older than 11 years old. Ours is 17 years old FFS!

You can get a good $400k 10 year old house on a 1000sqm block with a pool AND ducted heating/ cooling three houses up from me here in Katamatite South atm.

Time for a tree change.

Yep, I have never got the "revenue raising" calls. If you dont speed you don't have a problem.

While your last sentence is true, if you don't live in Victoria (and some parts of NSW) you wouldn't understand how easy it is to be nabbed for innocently going over the posted speed limit by as little as 3km's. No warning on the spot. Just a fine and demerit points notice in the mail three weeks later. All for going a speed which car speedometer manufacturers have within their range of actual speeds compared to what their speedos say a car is doing.

We're in a tiny state when compared to Western Australia yet check out how saturated this place is with cameras by comparison.

These figures are months old too and we're constantly adding more.
