Any electricians out there ?
A very random question.Any electricians out there ?
Is it a SMART bulb? Check the box. $26 is a bit steep for a non smart bulb. Even at McEwans.I got one of those arlec heating things in the bathroom with the 4 heat globes and the LED one for light in the middle.
The LED stopped working so off to McEwans to buy a new $26 one. Put it in and it works, but it fades in and out no matter how tight or loose. Weird.
is it fading in and out when switched on or are you describing capacitive coupling when it glows very dimly when off? i take it that its an edison screw rather than bayonette? with ES you can bend the middle tab down ever so slightly if its contact related ( usual safety disclaimers apply when doing so) , with bayonette your pretty much at the mercy of the springs in the holder, alternatively the poor contact may be at the switch or another location in the circuit . LEDs being much lighter load than incandescents means the voltage drop across a bad contact can be a lot higher due to the actual load being a higher impedance. its the voltage divider principle at work.I got one of those arlec heating things in the bathroom with the 4 heat globes and the LED one for light in the middle.

That is what I thought was the problem. See my posts above. Take it back or install the Tuya smart life app on your phone to set it up.Mightta well be speaking Greek Kosh ! Fading in and out after putting it in, loosely or tight.

I loved the way SonofSamsquanch described you - you are an “old fart”

Well if its any consolation the wifes new bbq is off and running after 3 hours to assemble it and an hour to get the app to connect. Who would have thought a bbq would need an app to operate. Not to mention require assembly like an ikea product.I did look, but same as your post > Greek. I'm shocked l worked it out, even though my smart tv & internet radio stopped working !
Srsly?my smart tv & internet radio stopped working !
