Yeah ..he’s really flying this season,

Total dominance
From being close to retirement at the worst team in the league in 2020 where his footy rivalled the late career form of Travis Cloke, to being arguably the best performed forward in 2021, and a top three forward in the three full years since, dragging what was a dreadful Adelaide side back to finals contention. Every man thought he had no business playing on in 2021.

Grundy was always going to be the Recruit of the Year.

The Swans don’t muck around. They have long had the best record of targeting opposition players to fill specific needs and they usually get the best of them.

It’s pretty amazing to think they were able to get the dual All Australian, 2x Best & Fairest ruckman for their 2nd and 3rd round draft picks.

He was on the big bucks at Melbourne / Casey

Does anyone know if the Dees are still paying a portion of his 2024 salary, or is Sydney paying the lot?
He looks better with a good midfield around him as his hitouts often aren't to advantage. It his hard to forget his 73 hitouts in the 2019 prelim with only 13 going to advantage because of the lack of good mids to rove to him. He still is ordinary overhead.

What the hell is this thread?

No.

For starters as much as it pains me to say it's not even the best comeback story this year. That should go to Jesse Hogan.

I prefer Jesus Christ and Ben Hogan.

The former's comeback was brief, but most thought he was down and out, and then he started bitchin and whining about his father being unengaged with his son. We all thought, what a sook, looked like he'd surrendered. Then come Sunday and oh shit, he was up and about again.

The latter's 2nd career half with his limp and physical ailments was amazing. Half a dozen majors. No stutter in the swing, no stutter in the mental focus For this Hogan.

Jesus checked out too early. Retired at his peak.
He’s the Allan Jackovich of the messiah league.

Wasn’t his fault, did you see how those Roman umpires treated him near the end of his career.

Saw his last game, he was crucified.
