The GIANTS and Swans will face off for the first time in 2021 when they play a match simulation practice match at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday Saturday.
With the AFL mandating that all match simulations across the country are closed to the public, the session will be live streamed through the GIANTS app and website.
The match will get underway at 11am with both teams set to give playing time to a mix of seasoned players as well as some rookies yet to experience AFL action.
After a big pre-season, GIANTS fans will be able to see midfield stars Stephen Coniglio, Josh Kelly and Callan Ward step up their preparations as well as first round draftees Tanner Bruhn and Conor Stone.
It’ll be the first hit-out against an opposition club since the 2020 regular season wrapped up in Queensland in September.
The best chance to watch the GIANTS up close will be the following weekend when the GIANTS once again play the Swans as part of the AAMI Community Series on Sunday, March 7 at GIANTS Stadium.
Tickets for the AAMI Community Series go on-sale on Monday.
The GIANTS open their AFL season in Sydney in a round one blockbuster against St Kilda on Sunday, March 21.
The match will get underway at 11am with both teams set to give playing time to a mix of seasoned players as well as some rookies yet to experience AFL action.
The two teams will play six terms with the first four terms broadcast and a mix of players to play varying game time.
Russell Barwick will lead the commentary with special guests from the Swans and GIANTS including CEO David Matthews, board member Jimmy Bartel and star defender Phil Davis.
