Hardwick doesn't have a game plan and that seems too be the major problem. Yeah I know we are young, skills aren't polished and blah, blah, blah, but come on, hand balling 10 times to get it out of the back is an utter joke. Kick it long for crying out loud, your down and out, do something and attack the game head on. We are always chasing tales and running in circles. Since the Freo game, Richmond has been pathetic and nothing has changed. It's the same old hand ball nonsense, kicking down the same line from the back and the list goes on. Honestly, I haven't seen anything new and that doesn't look like a good sign. How come we can see all the problems and the people down at Punt Rd can't see a thing.

I'm sorry, but if this team doesn't have an idea of how to play football, what makes you so sure they will do anything next year. I truly hope Richmond move forward, my family and I bleed black and yellow, but they seem to have gone backwards, back to the Terry Wallace era of crap.

Anyways, I'm glad we are seeing Richmond for who they are, they need a rocket in their a** and I hope they find one over the preseason. Secondly, there's four games left and Richmond was hoping to finish the season strong. I personally think this whole finishing on a "High" is a load of garbage, because there's no point trying to be heroes when the season is done and dusted. WIN games when they count, not too save your neck or JOB!.

Go Tigers!

How do you know this?
Can you tell me the game plan, of, say, Hawthorn? I bet 99.9% of posters (of which I am one) would not even know what a game plan is so I find it very frustrating that people think they know what one is.

Game plan, structures, set ups, call it what you like, but lately I haven't seen anything from Richmond.

I understand teams like Hawthorn, Collingwood, etc are more skillful, but have you seen the way those teams move the ball from either end. The way those teams kick the ball from the back line, man on man, etc all these aspects make up a game plan, structure and so on. Richmond is the complete opposite, they don't even know what too do most of the time. Eg. I saw this today and I've seen it before, when Richmond continue to kick it down the one side. Doesn't the coach say kick the damn ball to another side or do something different, does he even say anything. If you are happy with how Richmond are playing then good for you, but I don't like it one bit. I hope I eat my words and Richmond move up the ladder under Hardwick.

Another thing, you should be demanding the best from Richmond and stop settling for average garbage. All this oh we need the FTF for technical training, elite nonsense is crap, if you want too be the best you will get there regardless of what you have. People come from the dirt/slums to become the best at what they do. They don't have any fancy pants crap, they just work with what they have and get the job done. You tell me how the FTF is going too improve their kick ins, make them block, etc....

Our game today included:
- Switching it in the back line so the opposition have more players around the contest.
- Kicking out to opposition ruckman.
- Watching the oppositions best midfielder.
- Allow our opponents to get more numbers to the ball.
- Kick sideways and down the boundary line but avoid the corridor at all costs, unless handballing 10 times in a row to ensure we turn it over.
- HF's running wide not into the middle during center bounces.
- No manning up.
- No defensive pressure.
- Playing on backwards.

I guess Hardwick does have a game plan.

Just want to pass by and ask a question if thats ok...

A lot of Port posters are still pissed we re-signed choco in 09 and missed out on our chance to go for hardwick, personally, considering where our football club is at at the moment, and where the Tigers are too, I'm not convinced he would've been the saviour. In no ways am I claiming Primus could do/has done any better, but it's been bugging me for a while now.

Are you seeing any signs in him so far that he is the man for the job?

Well a simple "No thats not ok please leave our board" would've been enough but sure, resort to name calling...

I don't know if I have been mistaken for a troll, but it was an honest question

You are not trolling mate. I know myself when you go to other boards you have to point out two or three times in the question that its not a troll despite it being in now way a troll question. I often wonder whether they treat their mates who barrack for different clubs differently unless of course they boringly bag the club they barrack for. My Red Card on the Adelaide board still has me laughing at how delicate they are.

I think Hardwick is basically suffering for a list that he is still trying to get to a decent level.

I think Hardwick will do well and would probably be seen in a better light if he got the Essendon job but I think he needed the backing of an astute list manager from the beginning. Primus and Hardwick seem to both be trying to implore efforts in lists not good enough. They are young coaches backed by Cameron and Rhode.

Somethimes Primus and Hardwick do look like good young coaches just out of thier depth as to what the club requires and that they need a wise experienced head to come in and assist.

BTW - Wait till you can fit a name like Nicoski into your "Spuds who have torn us apart thread" on the PA board and then you have a thread that can rival the one we could put together.

Not a troll hey... just thought they would drop into the "Hardwick vent thread" after another 10 goal flogging and not expect a reaction... right... To anser the question then... Yeah Hardwick is going great guns mate, thanks for asking!!!

Sure mate, and Port and Primus is going great as well, after guiding us to our biggest defeat on the path to our first wooden spoon in a year with a compromised draft so I thought I'd rub it in!

I'm just sick of reading "this never would of happened if we went after hardwick!!!" and those posting it having no evidence to support their theory. You could say both our clubs are in dire circumstances, and a lot of people are jumping to irrational conclusions.

Anyway, thank you very much 1980 for the response and I'll take it on board, however, this isn't the "edgie vent thread" so I'll leave now as some people here are under the wrong impression.

Ok, I will give you the benifit of the doubt and it wasn't a troll.. so I apologise if I offended. However I still don't get the point of your post? Your've come on here to ask Richmond supporters, fresh from another belting/year of disappointment if they think their coach is up to the job (which you clearly don't) so you can go and score some told you so points on the Port board? Can't see how that would piss anybody off???

Jimmy, I dont think the football world yet knows whether Hardwick has it or not. Its hard to tell even for us at this stage of his coaching career. I would expect Essendon supporters and PA supporters to have an interest as to whether he has the goods in bag.

It was hardly a loss that has people in "Sack Hardwick" mode. If he asked the question "Do you think Farmer will be a champion at your club", then that would definately be a stir up.

Its not like Terry Wallaces' last year or Danny Frawleys last two years where you would have definately got a reaction because every man and thier dog wanted them out the door.

Most supporters are still backing Hardwick and yesterdays loss was probably too expected for Hardwick to lose any significant support.

Because he is new to coaching, like any new coach, you begin supporting him without knowing that he is the man for the job.

As time goes by you start to believe in the guy or you lose faith that he is up to it. With Damien, I think most people still dont really know but next year will start forming stronger opinions.

How do you guys feel about the difference between Damiens outward expectations compared to Brad Scott after losses. The difference was shown in the way they treated the big losses that both teams had against Carlton and Collingwood.

The difference between the two was shown up today in the way that Brad Scott came out and was strong on the loss to Hawthorn.

If we took the game up to Hawthorn on a ground that they know very well, do you think we would hear similar things if we couldn't get across the line.

Are North Melbourne required to be harder on thier performances than us.

Well not so much as a 'game plan' but I have struggled to identify any structure or set play we try and adopt when kicking in. Earlier in the season Newman was bombing a few well into the centre square but most times we just kick to the back pocket and somehow manage to get some hand-passes working which more often than it should end up in the opposition scoring from a turn over. Was listening to the game on the radio on the way home last night and was surprised to hear Thirsty kicking in as I didn't think he was such a good kick? Surely we need to have a great thinker and ball user to take the kick ins as opposed to suspect disposal players:confused:

As for working out any teams gameplan, well I think I will work on launching rockets to Mars first:D

IMO the supporters and coaching stuff are within their rights to expect more from that group that us.

You obviously missed Farmer taking one .........

My Hardwick vent for this week, he's found positives out of a 57 point loss in which the oppositions 2 best forwards Le Cras and Kennedy (didn't play) had no influence on the game and they still kicked a massive score:( Very alarming!!

Get some good assisstant coaches around him. if burns or neeld dont get a top job ask them to come to us.

my sentiments exactly. I have raised this up many times. he needs experienced assistants who know what they are doing......

the direct from dima is a marketing tool to keep us happy and justify his job and the assistants job. It is a crock of poo. why does he not just say at this stage we are not up to it. be honest with us paying members ffs.

Tuesdays with Terry at least gave journos the chance to formulate questions.

The email can be written directly from thier perspective without needing to answer anything.

How would Terry spin that we may end the season with only ONE more win than the Gold Coast.

We know were not up to it and as far as I can see the fact that DH decided to rebuild pretty much the whole team and was clear with supporters that this would take a few years, signified that he knows or knew we are not up to it, but you need a coach to be positive, every team tries to go in to games thinking they can win, even Port, the last thing you want is your coach coming out and saying that we have no hope of winning the next game.

To be honest I hate this thread it was made very clear not to expect too much success in the first couple of years, if the club listened to half the dream team coaches in this thread, the club would be screwed for the next 30 years, I know it's been a long time between drinks, but there are no quick fixes for a club coming from the position we've been in, so for goodness sake give Dimma a go, if at this time next year we are still sitting near the bottom, then the club probably needs to review their position, but for now we are pretty much on track.

If you take in to consideration the bad luck we have had with the back line and the fact that we have been able to bring on a couple of players, like Rance and Vickery, that look like they have the goods, I don't think the season is anywhere near as bad as some in this post are making out, it's time to get behind the club and support our coaches and players, instead of dumping Sh!te on their doorstep.

Go Tigers!
