Has Hughsey dropped the ball again?

We had the opportunity today to grab another small (Less than 180cm) player, we let Howlet, Wright, Hooper, Roberts, Hams, Jaensch and McNeil slip through our fingers when everybody know we are screaming out for tiny players. We now only have 1 (thats right, shocking I know but Eddie is our only player shorter than 180cm left on our list).

The other teams are leaving us behind for smalls.

Murph is listed as 180cm on the Blues website. Which brings me to another question regarding the so called height deficiency we have (no point dressing it up as KPP or key forward deficiency because the couch recruiters argued for Talia who has played as a backman and wanted him drafted because of his height, nothing else, his height, oh and maybe the color of his eyes, I am told they are an enchanting green!).

Tiller was taken as an underage 189cm, I wonder if he has grown into 192cm say, but is still listed on the site at his drafted height. Same with Kid Rok taken at 188cm could also now be over 190cm and Davies was taken at 188cm but Hughes and others had him as 191cm.

All of this raises our average height, in fact I wouldnt mind betting we have the tallest list in the comp (on average). All the more reason I am outraged in this thread at our lack of drafting tiny people.

I say bring back dwarf camp.

Getting back to one single fact which takes all this debate out of the equation:

We will need talls. We all know that, and at a guess WH, Ratts and everyone and anyone else knows that.
The point is we want the right player/s for designated rolls.
Again I'll say, I would be surprised (read shocked) if we have not already a plan A, B and C in place for the end of next year.

Playing devils advocate, well sor of, WH does like to draft blokes that are in the 185-190 range. Those tall running mids (Gibbs, Grigg, Robinson, Yarran, ROK).

I do however, still believe that our "lack of height" is a real myth, and WH and his team have drafted accordingly.

Personally , I Luv WH. I reckon he's a star. Not in a gay way though. Luv the fact that he is recruiting best available as opposed to needs.Keep up the great work WH. Imagine the competition for spots now , awesome.
I personally think Cachia will get a start before Lucas. He is a solid unit and at the moment a more mature body for AFL. Looks like he likes it rough and tough.We have certainly taken care of inside mids in this draft. If Cachia models himself on Sewell then bloody awesome. Hopefully Mclean and Cachia become our hardmen and terrorise other teams.

Although this is a mock thread, this was a half serious question what would people prefer? Because there is so much emphasis on how TALL a player is, but shouldn't there also be some consideration on how high they can reach?
