Have you ever run into another BF poster in person?

Was just thinking about this.

I attended a Viking themed dinner at a winery a few years back in McLaren Vale. Drinking out of horns and all that. It wasn't till late in the night, when I was full of grog and started on about the Crows in typical BF fashion, that the person across the table made a comment that it sounds like I was a poster on BigFooty.

That person was 100% correct, and that person was arrowman

Has anyone else had a random encounter with a BF poster?

Interesting thread. I've met quite a few BF posters from other boards.

I personally know half a dozen other regular/semi-regular Adelaide board posters in person, but knew them through other avenues.

I've run into Jenny before - she does a lot in Qld for the supporter's group here.

I went to high school with one of the Port posters (not sure whether they still post or not), I will respect his anonymity and won't name and shame him.

On Bigfooty they act like they're this lifelong Port supporter who's spent their whole life at Alberton, but truth is that he used to be a massive North Adelaide supporter who hated Port with a passion back in the 90s.

I am sure he's not the only person on their board who lies about how they came to support Port.

And looks like old Jen is confusing the two. It’s interesting the difference in the use of 5 for Rankine though. Bit Kristof is insufferable enough to swap accounts if he heard 5 was going just to avoid having to criticise a club employee.

Nah, I'm not a big socialiser at games. And don't really talk about BF anywhere else.

Years ago though an actual friend that supports another club quoted something I'd posted on the BF Video Games board to me on facebook which was weird and made me go "Wait, what?" I guess identifying me wasn't hard, Crows tragic, my username was part of my email at the time too, but I never did figure out if he was a poster here too or not.

I reckon I met ams4crows — although that poster was completely unaware— sitting on the fence in the outer on the wing at Noarlunga oval. I was reading Bigfooty and posts were appearing about stuff happening at the very time, and each time, I noticed a person tapping away on their phone. Reckon it was you Ams4crows.
