Hawks Back??

Are the hawks back, thats the big question, with a great win against Adelaide. A true arm-wrestle. At half-time, listening to the match I was very happy with the progress, (Hawks 5.6.36, Adelaide 4.5.29) but didn't want to get to confident with the way they were playing. I was happy enough with their third quarter, to trial but just two points, with confidence that they could win.
But had McGregor had the ball two seconds earlier, Hawks would be hanging their heads in chame once more.
Great to see some guts and body contact back in the Hawthorn game (Browny, you little beauty!)
But can Hawks use this to boost their season, but thats what we asked after winning a close one against Carlton.
Com'on Hawks!!

Seen it before...last year they won four in a row until round 16 & everyone was saying that they were back but then got belted by brisbane & were exposed as a middle of the road side.

It was a gutsy performance yesterday no doubt but the simple fact is Hawthorn still aren't capable of matching it with the top sides.

No we're not back. This season is over and the victory on the weekend did nothing to change that. THere are, however, some good sings for the future. Due to injuries, Schwab was forced to play Sam Mitchell on the ball for the entire game, instead of rotating on a ridiculous basis. And what happened? Samy got 32 touches, a competition high 12 clearances, 11 hard ball gets and 10 tackles.

With Lekkas pulling out, Joel Smith was swung onto the ball with great success. A big lesson for the future.

And Johnny Barker starred for Box Hill today. So yes, the season is over - but the future is suddenly looking a little better.

I think we are entitled to be happy. We have endured a month of crap football.

As for knocking the Hawk walk - it is called PASSION and BEING PROUD OF YOUR TEAM AND YOUR EFFORTS. After the heat has been on, the Hawks have every right to be proud of themselves.

Something that has taken St Kilda a few years..err I mean decades to develop

As for the hawks they are full strength. the only club in the afl who have no injuries but you still struggle.

Geez, settle down Aussie Jones, my god of all supporters in the league you should know how it feels to be down and out and to have a win against a quality side feels good, relax!

Why shouldn't we be happy and celebrate, don't go getting ahead of yourselves too much because the St.Kilda football club haven't achieved anything for a very long time and now that you actually show the form you should have because you have had all the draft picks, i mean good on ya's but just take it easy!!

Im happy along with every other hawks supporter out there and on this board so if u are going to have a go at us for being happy, stuff ya, cause we don't care.

We beat a side that is in the top 6 and was looking pretty good, yeah they didn't have players, neither did we, yeah they got some pretty dodgy decisions from the umps but atleast we can admit it, and not be petty about it and the whinging that is going on from adelaide supporters is very bad, ohh and to all the adelaide supporters that said it was a over at 1/4 time HAHAHA never say that! I seem to have lost count of the number of times that Crawf has towelled up Harvey. He is not a sook either. But we have a shot at the 8, a very slim one, but a shot nonetheless. So when your team are in the eight cose apparently they have such a good chance - not, then get back to me.

Crawford is a wonderful footballer and was awesome yesterday!!!

We have beaten Syndey, West Coast, Adelaide all top 8 teams. We have also beaten Carlton.

St Kilda will choke on their Cornflakes eventually when they realise they need to get more draft picks. It is only round 10, so dont get too ****y. It will come back to bite you on the ass.
