You are spot on..I wasn't trolling. Some of you are delusional thinking you are gona win the flag from outside the 4. The thing is I give Hawks a big chance IF they can make the 4...by then u guys will be at full strength and can knock anybody off anywhere. Unfortuantely i cant see u getting into the 4 without rioli, hill, gibson, lake, sewell, stratton etc and sydney, freo, cats all have the easiest draws. I dont understand it considering they were top 4 sides last year, yet hawks get r*ped.

The losing teams from 1-4 in a Week 1 play the winning teams from 5-8. Under your thinking ONLY the losing teams of 1-4 can win the flag BUT the winning teams of 5-8 CANNOT. Yet they have equal chance based on the results.

I think in most any other year he'd be right because the difference between the losing qualifying finalists and the winning elimination finalists is quite large. This year it is quite close all the way through. Add in the fact that we've managed to maintain a high position despite injuries to key players that would've seen most teams out of the 8 by this point of the season.

If we finish in the bottom half of the 8 we can go all the way, but only IF by the time finals comes around our list is fit and in form. That's a big if though, and not just because I wrote it in capitals.

We can't win it from 5th.

History suggests you need the double chance. If we finish in the top four and win in the first week we get the week off and that proves vital in order to rest up any sore/injured players.

Having the week off is an advantage, especially when you've got two teams belting the living crap out of each other the week before the Preliminary final.

Finishing 5th you'll need to have four perfect weeks of football to win the flag. It just doesn't happen.

We lose this week and I think season is pretty much gone. But I rekon Clarko should instruct every player to go out and in the first seconds of the game, turn to their opponent and eye guage them. You dont get weeks for it as the AFL/MRP have well and truly set a precedent. So go for your lives boys, its part of the game now. And if questioned, just plead that your opponent allegedly tried to choke you.

I also feel that we are playing one to many defenders. I don't think Stratton/Litherland/Dureya can co-exist in the same defence. Rumour that Duryea has a bad shoulder so he might make way, if he does or doesn't i think we need to omit a defender and replace them with a midfielder such as a Simpkin or Langford.

Any idea for a designated hawk pub in the Adelaide CBD that can be used as a meeting point for a session on Friday prior to the game?
Also, which side of the hill do opposition (hawk) supporters tend to congregate?

Just noticed that we had to wear our white clash strip when we played against Gold Coast (who wore their home colours naturally) up at Metricon.
Yet the other week when they played away against us we wore our home strip and they wore theres as well! So apparently the colours only clash when we're the away side? WTF?

getting it out of the middle has been a major problem... everyone needs to step up. crows blew roos out of the water in first 20 mins at AO...we cant be on the back foot. as for pubs...mmm hinley st, casino town side...nth adelaide side cathedral and kings head.

we r ****ed if this is true...Hill has been a shining light for us this year and this was reinforced last week. Honestly no Rioli or Hill is huge. Fingers crossed he gets up for the most important game of the year but lets be honest nothing has gone right for us this year. Crows/Krows...apples/oranges.
