So to summarise the last 54 pages... last November, you probably figured you'd get pick 11 or 12 (and secretly hoped it would be pick 8 or 9)

Then during the pre-season matches, you started to believe pick 8 or 9 was possible (but hoped you get 5 or 6)

Then after round 1 and 2 defeats, pick 5 seemed a distinct possibility with the more optimistic people suggesting maybe a top 3 pick

And once it became obvious the Hawks were scheissenhausen, all the talk has been about pick 1 and who you should take? Key position player or best midfielder?
good summary

A couple of Hawthorn supporting friends have now decided they now "like" the Box Hill Hawks.

Oh its beautiful - so after 4 weeks of failure they now need to go searching for success any success any where.

Confirms everything I've said to them over the last 10 years - as far as supporters go they are soft frontrunners with no real commitment.
Every club has their share of frontrunning fans & bandwagoners.

Hawk crowds will drop this year. It's to be expected after our recent golden run. Happens to every successful club when they slide. Saints fans dropped off during the Scott Watters years...

Every club has their share of committed hardcore fans. Let's not forget, the Hawk fans saved their club in 1996 when it was millions of dollars in debt and being railroaded into a merger with Melbourne by the AFL. Since then, they've been one of the best clubs at converting casual fans into paid-up members.

Gotta give it to your club for turning it all around back then. Don Scott must look back with sheer delight.

We look back with sheer delight and we look forwards between our fingers with our hands over our eyes
I'd give every 1st rounder away for the next 25 years just to win 1 premiership
