For actions that allegedly occurred at another club, long ago. I find it remarkable that people would be surprised that they are somewhat defensive about this.

Well the NMFC is certainly blameless in this situation and has had to suffer consequences, the extent of which we’re still not sure. Sorry I didn’t realise anyone would be quite so pedantic about it.

I disagree, if the examples were not related to the discussion then I would believe that you were trying to use an analogy.

Your 'example', is inflammatory and is directly related to claims made. It also contains quotation marks, so who said these things?

Your 'example' was also in reply to a comment that basically said, it's ignorant to think that elite sports clubs wouldn't be advising their athletes against relationships and children.

For a sensitive and nuanced issue, it feels very callous.

Once again, Chief did not act in the manner claimed.

What were they supposed to do? Interview all the former Hawthorn indigenous players, just in case Clarko may have hurt their feelings? That's not realistic.

Should they have interviewed all of his ex players since he started coaching, why stop there how bout his year 1 teacher?

But in the end, shit happens. If I hire someone and invest in their training, only to have them go to jail for historical crimes nobody knew about, I don't get compensation.

Voss has been through the courts, found guilty, so it is fine for him to coach.
Clarkson has been accused but hasn't been charged or found guilty of anything, so he shouldn't coach.
