I think North knew exactly what they were getting.
We did, the best coach this century, who was heavily pursued by other clubs because he's the best coach this century.

He would not have been so heavily pursued by so many clubs, if he had a reputation in the industry for being racist and inhumane.

I don't disagree.

Although 'inhumane' isn't a great choice of words. There's plenty of things that whilst considered inhumane in normal society, are borderline acceptable in a footy club environment.

Regardless, the recent allegations surely didn't come as a surprise to them. Similar behaviour and actions have been publicly reported on multiple occasions in the past.

They knew what they were getting. Or at least they should have.

And I also think this is a very naive take on it.

All football clubs would hire any as*hole if they were good at helping them win. It's the public knowing about it that scares footy clubs.

It's not pedantic to point out that describing supporters of a footy team as "victims" in the context of allegations of systemic racism is extremely tone deaf. I mean if you look at this situation and seriously think "those poor North and Lions supporters" I think you need to reassess your priorities.

You can feel sorry that North and Brisbane supporters through no fault of their own are caught up wondering about the future of their senior coaches. As an Essendon supporter I’ve been there, it’s not enjoyable.

You can also hope that the past players and their families receive the support and justice they deserve.

These aren’t mutually exclusive.

One can walk and chew gum and all.

all accused stood down, initially.

As you said:
Hahahahahaha jeeeeesus

Many North supporters are proud to say that Clarkson started on the agreed date, and was not stood down for one minute.

I would hate to say that either you or others in the PR campaign are not across the facts, but that would seem to be the case.

you are definitely right, i mean Essendon did just that but to be fair, i dont think he would be pursued as hard following the release of this report.

All round s**t bloke clarko
Great coach poor human if you don’t agree with him.

He's been a shite bloke for a long time. He had one good patch as a coach.

I always say that the best coaches need to prove it with at least two different lists before they can be greatest ever.

Leigh Matthews is the greatest coach, he got both Collingwood and Brisbane to the Premiership, Malthouse next. Sheedy did it multiple times pre-2001. I'm not sure about Chris Scott with 11 years between Premierships, don't think he can take enough credit for the first one.

Mathews and Malthouse had controlled aggression, Clarkson can't contain his aggression at junior footy child umpires or a lady in a press pack

not sure i was making a north lol moment.

taking an lol moment at the expense of people who claimed they are abused is a bit beyond my bucket of jokes.

I would agree, if this was known prior, i doubt North sign him either.
