I doubt he meant that he would threaten people in the same way:

I mean, it's somewhat related. He has a tendency of acting poorly and thinking it's 'defending the interests' of his players.

Oh we know he'll get angry again. That's guaranteed and everyone knows it. He'll kick a tantrum in the box during the game day, he'll go red and yell down the blower, he'll crack it at parasite reporters, will protect his players from outsiders how he sees fit, have disagreements with colleagues, get upset at AFL HQ, etc etc etc.

it is entirely possible to be supportive of your people without being threatening.

media people will always do scummy things to get a story. An AFL head coach should hold themselves to a higher standard, especially given his current predicament.

I think it's relevant. It talks to his character and whether you believe that he did what all those people said he did.

In his mind, in the context of protecting his players, their reputations and the club, I don't think there's much he wouldn't do. That's his problem. He's practically admitting that he can't guarantee he won't over-step the line.

He needs to learn that these are adults who can look after themselves. He doesn't need to cross the line to protect them from reporters or pregnant partners.

Huh so he has a temper, I never knew that was proof positive someone was racist.

Read up a bit he did say he’d stand up for his players again but yeah frame it how you want.

To be honest the only problem I have with having a go a t the journo was the words he chose, those parasites should be blasted at every opportunity not only when they force themselves where they shouldn’t be.

Again I want the racism issue to be fully investigated and if it has been proven then yeah get rid of him but remember at the time of the report he wasn’t interviewed so he hasn’t had the opportunity to defend himself. IF he is found guilty then it won’t just be him that should cop it.

What is the deflection here? Trying to bring an irrelevant event into this thread or calling it as such?

Are we going to do character assessments on everyone involved? If so, what are you hoping to prove anyway? Even if you show someone is capable of committing a crime it doesn't prove they committed it.
