Is it?

Why?
You know that he used the exact words to a female reporter that it is alleged Thomas used to threaten a partner/ex. It doesn't harm any argument of yours to admit that this makes it a bit more noteworthy.

There is a thread about Clarkson coaching North, this thread is about an alleged culture of racism at a different club.

As for "every shitty thing Clarkson does"... he told a reporter to get ****ed or some such thing and then went and apologised and denies he told someone to abort their kid.

As committed by a handful of specific individuals. Clarkson included.

Fagan and Newbold haven't really done or said anything to discuss, meanwhile Clarkson has. Brisbane and Hawthorn supporters haven't spent day after day after day trying to downplay the actions Fagan or Newbold is accused of, North supporters have.

If you want to try to control the narrative, you're doing a really bad job.

Oh yes. Presumably every correct step too then. Should we now clog up the thread with a whole lot of puff pieces too? Here is today's irrelevant fluff to start you off.

There has been an unusually high number of Clarkson puff pieces this off season by AFL accredited media.

Gimme names.
Give me the names of multiple North supporters who have tried to downplay the seriousness of what the coaches were alleged to have done at Hawthorn.
Otherwise it will be hard to escape the conclusion you're attributing false positions to North supporters because you're engaging in this thread in bad faith, with little to no concern for the actual victims.

Actually he has admitted to saying "you'll get yours", definitely a personal threat against a woman just doing her job and he was ironically defending someone facing charges for assault, harassment and threatening behaviour against women at the time.

The problem for North is that Clarkson is just about the only key person linked to this period at Hawthorn that is still in the game(apart from Fagan), and he keeps finding ways for people to question his demeanor and etiquette.

What has benefited Fagan and not Clarkson in all this is that Fagan keeps his nose clean and doesn’t throw his weight around, which has allowed him to just put his head down and go back to work.

North have the face of this investigation at their helm, and they need him to be front and centre of all of their marketing and ‘rebirth’, which in turn is bringing pressure on him(geez he looked tired and flat in that interview with Watson), culminating in outbursts like the one directed at the 9 news reporter.

If the biggest problem North face this year is that randos will continue to question our coach's etiquette, then I put it to you that it will be our greatest year since 1999.

(I agree Clarko looked like he could do with a good sleep-in)

You don't think that's an allegation of wrongdoing?
You don't think the wording used in the statement was deliberate to not outright deny any of the specific allegations presented within the report? There's a fair difference.

It doesn't mean he's not refuting them behind closed doors but he hasn't publically addressed any of the individual claims, of which there were several, beyond a general statement which didn't really say anything much (but I presume from a legal perspective was the best move).

Funnily enough no one has publicly made those allegations.

Its a fairly common thing to say to people who are behaving badly and with what seems like impunity. It doesn't necessarily mean its a threat either. More a warning that karma will catch people out eventually.

He obviously said it to her because its what Thomas said.

And he reflected on what he said and went and apologised the same day, within a few hours. The reporter in question accepted the apology and people dug it up weeks later to use against him. And it still doesn't justify the reporter behaving like a jerk. Did she hassle Jordan De Goey like that or does she think she can get away with it with Thomas cos he is black?

People on here are carrying on like he said it, was unrepentant and the reporter still feels threatened. Weeks later, after the issue had been settled.

I'm sure those people are perfect, have never snapped at anyone or behaved in any sort of questionable manner and are the sort of people we should all be modelling our behaviour on.

Big call!

Are you sure you wouldn't prefer Brad Scott?

He might have a very different interpretation of those events. One that is completely at odds with the way that story was presented in the media.

Why should he publically address any of it?

The original conversations at Hawthorn were all private and sposed to be confidential. Anything he says about it breaks that confidentiality. You also mentioned tht he's waiting for documentation from Hawthorn. Maybe he doesn't know who is making these allegations. They were made in a confidential way after he left.

What an absolute top to bottom load of horseshit.

Its horse shit is it?

Are you saying he didn't apologise the same day?

Are you saying there is no way indigenous people (or even other black people like Sudanses kids) accused of wrong doing are not treated differently in the media?

Because if you are and you're saying what I said is horse shit maybe you should look in a mirror.
