Dale didn’t get any jail time, carl being killed dropped the murder case against him.
Yep getting little bit technical but your right, think he the luckiest man alive almost,Except for those 8 months inside on remand of course?
He did, but putting it into context, he was of a Community Legal background where antipathy toward Police and Corrections - and possible conspiracies therein - runs through their veins. At the time Prideaux disappeared ABC morning radio host Jon Faine ( a lawyer by trade) regularly returned to the subject for no result as I recall.

This case stinks, on the day Prideaux disappeared, he was with Rob Dale, who is first cousins with ex VicPol Officer Paul Dale. David Prideaux's wife and Paul Dale are first cousins. Rob Dale is a electrics technician in the Wangaratta area, the same area his cousin Paul Dale ended up after he was kicked out of Melbourne.
Paul Dale went to original spot at 1130am on 5/6/2011 and Prideaux wasn't there, he 'got worried about 430pm when Prideaux didn't show', what happened in those 5 hours.
Apparently Police didn't investigate 2 trial bike riders heard in the area that day.
A 4 page Coroner's Report, short on detail.
The trial of Matthew Johnston (Carl Williams killer) was held mid to late 2011, if David Prideaux was to spill the beans on Carl, he would have done it during this trial: Killer found guilty of Williams murder
VicPol Officer Stuart Bailey, the same officer who was with John McCarthy (Port Adel) in Las Vegas when he died, was the lead VicPol officer of the Carl Williams death at Barwon.
- One of the Prideaux brothers who was a prison guard at Pentriodge was mates with Chopper Reid and attended his funeral.
- One of the other Prideaux brothers was part of the Graeme Jenson/Jed Adcock late 1980s Bank Robber gang, which lead to Walsh Street.
August 2011 -Corrections Services Victoria review conducted.
Something stinks.

REPEAT
The 2011 disappearance of prison boss David Prideaux is a mystery that bristles with possibilities. The story that began as a missing person case is now clouded with accusations of adultery, conspiracies and murder.
