High Pick vs Low Pick

This frustrates me, for reasons unknown, and i want to clarify this. If someone has pick #3 do you classify this as a high draft pick or a low draft pick. I personally classify it as a high draft pick, however i just read a thread on Mitch Thorp and someone said "It's disapointing because he was such a low pick (#6). So, a poll, to solve it, to you, is a top 10 pick a high draft pick or a low draft pick.

When you got through the list of each draft they're listed

1.
2.
3.
4.
etc

The earliest picks are at the top of the list. The highest up the list.

I would go for high draft pick though.
Guess you just have to interpret from context...
 
I never hear people refer to picks in the 70s as high picks though. I can understand people calling picks in the top 10 as low picks. But you never hear the opposite.

High picks it is. If not early.
