I was wrong about West Coasts midfield. Thought they were bottom tier and would be for a fair while. Thought they relied on Priddis way too much. A fit Nic Nat helps a lot.

I got smashed in February and emailed 72 people my ladder prediction. I sort of have no recollection of doing it, but the evidence is compelling. I placed Melbourne at 11 on the ladder so I'm going in early now to say that prediction looks pretty wrong. I'm right in saying I was astonishingly drunk at the time though.

I think Buckley is proving a lot of people wrong. Hated him as a player, thought he was an average coach as Collingwood slid, but he's proving the doubters wrong and I don't hate him nearly as much as a coach.

Can't speak for all WA people - but i never grew up with a Collingwood hatred.

I've tended to dislike Carlton the most due to the nature of their supporters, however they have been easily surpassed

Wow. How much Essendon have you watched this year? Plenty of contenders for those key back positions, but for mine the stand outs are Rance, McGovern and Hurley.

Maybe it's a Victorian thing, you're probably right.

And I still struggle with which is worse, Carlton vs. Essendon--but the Carlton thing is in the blood, very hard to get over or surpass.

Unstoppable monster?? Roughhead was BOG last week v Hurley. Will be interesting if he goes to are Riewoldt after what he did to him last year.

Another one that I would like to add after the OP is Bartel. I know it's hard to argue with a Brownlow and premiership medals but I always thought he was getting rewarded again by others and he would go missing too much. But when I see the stats of impact he has when playing with the team I have long being denying his greatness.....sorry.

I still have nightmares about that bloke and his key role in securing 11 straight against the Hawks...
