Slow starts Magpies, slow starts Power. Is it their pre-game diet that has them looking sluggish and lacking concentration? Yes I am clutching at straws again perhaps but why the hell does it take us two to three quarters to wake up and start playing. Who is our dietician and what (legal) supplements are we using?

When you're made to look second rate by Sturt, are always second to the ball and look slow and disinterested, fitness will surely be questioned.

I think it's more a case of rocking up to Unley and thinking "LOL we have to play on this shit hole" and proceeding to not give a ****.

I have been re watching Power games on Smart Replay 2013 & 2014. They look fitter, can run and they back each other.
This year .. well we all know what the players are like. Not running as hard, no quick ball movement, fumble fumble, kicking and hand passes up to shite ..... etc etc

the lasr two weeks out last quaters are on par from 13-14 i belive we smashed them to hard now its finally paying off but **** we are skinny prawns ollie looks like a bitch compaired to ollie from last year

I reckon they don't run both ways anymore. 2013 and 2014 we ran hard offensively and just as hard if not harder defensively, watching the game at Etihad on Saturday night after watching Hawthorn live on Friday the difference is our 2 way running has stopped for whatever reason. The players could have been over trained I'm not sure but that's the biggest difference I have seen in our season.

ffs.. the players bought into the hype of being the 'fittest team in the competition' and as a result don't think they have to work as hard, because they are under the belief that they have done the work and it just comes.

We probably are the fittest team but we didnt train for so many **** ups with our kicking and turning the ball over. Just like you cant set a field for bad bowling you cant set up a training regime for poor kicking and massive amount of turnovers.

To use an athletics analogy, us wasting so much energy chasing the ball when we turn it over so much would be like making Usain Bolt run 110-115m when everyone else is running 100m. He will beat some of his competitors, but when his fastest 10m splits show he maxs out at 0.81 seconds for 10m then he isint going to beat the best guys and if he has to run an extra 10-15m every race then it actually catches up with him and some of average runners can beat him.

A pie, a beer and a smoke should be all they need to get ready for a game.

we should be knocking down iced coffees at half time in respect of our sponsors

Despite all the theories being thrown around, I reckon about 80% of our problem this year has been confidence. The other 20% being made up by untimely injuries to key players, lack of forward cohesion (with the addition of Ryder, which finally seems to be working itself out), and perhaps a slight lack of tactical nous in the coaches box (for specific situations).

whatever it is, it is bizarre

We were a few points from a GF, this year we are half a season away

4 to 5 Prunes, and whole leaf Aloe gel first thing in the morning should help.
