The morale is tooThis, so much.
Any leader worth his salt will tell you 'moral of the troops' is most important - it trumps strategy every-time.
This speaks volumes about Kern's imo.

Manager says things too push up price/chance of a new contract
Shock horror
I'm uncomfortable with players being told that they are just depth in case of injuries, that they will struggle to get a game, etc, mid season. It just adds nothing positive to the player's performance or team morale at large. Leave that stuff for the end of season review.

This is bloody disgusting how the F^%k white has got a game over him baffles me.If I'd just had a 30 year old who had 6 touches in the SANFL promoted ahead of me I'd seek a trade too. There will be more to come.
Reporter asks leading question to coach about players manager saying he's only going to play SANFL for the rest of his Port Adelaide career just to write article about how coach has rubbished rumours.Power rubbish Ah Chee trade rumours
PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has rubbished reports midfielder Brendon Ah Chee is seeking a return to Western Australia. The 23-year-old is among a group of Port players coming out of contract at season's end. But Hinkley laughed off a report in The West Australian that Ah Chee is demanding a return to Perth. "'Arch' knows we exactly where he's at and what he needs to do to be a part of the AFL side," Hinkley said on Friday. "Look, he has got a great future. And hopefully for us that is still with our football club." Ah Chee has played four of his 26 AFL games this season but Hinkley noted it was entering silly season for trade rumours. "We understand managers have jobs to do," Hinkley said.

Think about it guys.......who lost last night?
Of course we'll have a bad news Port story today!!
Well there's an option. We can trade him to the crows.Mark Bickley has a massive hard-on for Arch anyone else noticed
Excluding that weird period in 2015 where Ken played him as the sub 5 or 6 times in a row, Sam Gray and Jake Neade have both been given more than double the opportunities that Arch has been given. And if you ask me, they've both shown much less.
Read the last page or so. It might help you.Fringe player who is inconsistent at AFL level demands a trade half way through current season.
Righto
I luv Arch, have done ever since he was drafted. Anyone reading this thread gets a hint of that. Anyone who can pinpoint a 30 metre handball left-handed at age 17 is a weapon that a Club should cultivate, not try to teach the skill out of him rather than enhance it. Whoever was or is our midfield coach who told him not to handball so much has an appointment with me out back of the Happy Valley Bar & Grill where I am currently in situ. Was it Buddha? Was it you Crazy Vossy? Whomsoever, Hinkley has the responsibility to make this lad the success he deserves to be instead of testing his resolve as the team scapegoat having made him sit on the pine half of the game. If Arch goes, it's you, Ken. I know I invited you to the Races at the Valley at the end of the season, but if you can't coach Arch properly and successfully and point to him as an example of your (currently questionable) coaching prowess at season's end then you'll be placing your bets with a pair of raging shiners on display.I like Arch and I wish he could get a good run in the midfield instead of being played at HF and then dropped.
Probably not so much with S Rgay but definitely with Neade.
I didn't say that Sr Gay was better than Archie.Honest question, what exactly has SGray been doing at AFL level that makes him better than Ah Chee? ...
