Not remotely similar types Arch is more an inside mid he should go to West Coast with their retirements I can't see him getting a game with Wines and Pepp & he's not good enough in other positions.

Seems the most likely of our WAlian players, but coming up for age 24 is that still "young"? I'm more worried that Langdon might be talking about Billy, even if he did sign a new contract not that long ago. I'll see what more I can glean - Langdon gets a lot of his info from Kornes or Fairfax...

Billy Frampton?
Frampton signed a contract extension in June that takes him through to the end of the 2019 season. The club pulled the pin on his 2017 season early and sent him in for shoulder surgery so he'd be ready for the 2018 pre-season. Why has he suddenly decide to request a trade to a WA based club and why would Ports entertain this?
Lol. Good by what definition? He's not in our midfield rotation and he's only good forward in the 'he's better than Impey' sense. And he has the worst disposal efficiency of every player at Port whose played a game this year. I used to be an Arch fan, but he hasn't progressed and if we're serious about changing from being a side that continually turns it over by foot he's first out the door. If we get any pick for him it's a bonus. We might get a third or fourth from GC, just because they value his brother.

That would be a terrible outcome if Billy were seeking a trade. We'd have to play extremely hard ball.

Jackson Trengove played 19 bog-average games for us in Billy Frampton's exact role this year and he's likely leaving in free agency. Frampton would be an idiot to seek a trade right now. There's a wide open opportunity for him here next year if he wants it.

Why stop at Lycett with West Coast paying his contract, why not do a three way trade involving Hawthorn and get Alistair Clarkson thrown in.

I'd be really surprised. I haven't heard any whispers from his family.
Would be a shame. Looks like he should be a solid player but seems timid in the afl team. Not scared of the contest but as though he has been told that 1st slip up and he's back to the SANFL. Can't blame him with the yo-yo selections involving him.

Just needs a Sam Gray/Impey/Young type crack at the forward line I reckon. Give him a chance Ken.
Just had a look at their list to see which "list clogging couldabeen with more potential than impact" we could swap Ah Chee for.
A few that stood out:
- Masten (Competition for Amon's wing)
- Karpany (LIM)
- Lamb (Cam O'Shae the forward)
- Hill (upgrade on Krak, will be delisted)
I very much doubt we would be able to pry Masten loose for Big Arch. Would be a bit of a steal.
So discounting that possibility, I think I'd prefer a third round draft pick. Next year.
