If it is voted by the public then it becomes who is most popular. Even the essendon flogs that must have voted in droves must know that Howes shat on Joes... from a height.

Think that this highlights the need to change things. Also didn't think that Rioli's goal was best but the tigers fans are fired up right now too

What a ******* joke. Compared to the GOAT mark in Gary Moorcroft and still doesn't win.

Absolutely s**t.

You know what? At first I was outraged, but who cares? At the end of the day, we enjoyed it and it'll be remembered more fondly than Daniher's, just like most people remember Andrew Walker's ahead of Krakeour despite not winning.

Difference is Walker's & Krakouer's were close.

The porno moustaka wasn't even worthy of being nominated.

In years to come when they play the great marks of all time highlight reel,

Howe's will be played, again and again.

Only Bruce mcavaney may remember the trivia fact that joe Daniher took a basic nice mark that somehow was fake news mark of the year

Blame the Pies fans that voted for Grundy’s Mark. We should have coordinated it and stacked the votes for Howe

Difficult to battle the anti-Collingwood vote too when there's only one other option. With a player from another club nominated in Grundy's place it's likely Daniher's vote would have reduced.

Daniher won the fan vote for his screamer against St Kilda in round 17. He earned 52 per cent of the vote ahead of Howe's 41 per cent for his brilliant mark on Queen's Birthday against Melbourne in round 12.

Howe's teammate Brodie Grundy's effort in round 14 against Port Adelaide had the remaining 7 per cent.
