Not sure if anyone has done this yet but with the Wizard Comp coming up who has been ruled out?

Hart - Hammy. Not ready until Round 1 at least.
Skippy - Shoulder. Commencing competitive work in next week or so. (3 weeks?)
Schuby - Shoulder. Still not in full training. (6 weeks?)
Kreuger - Back. Commencing full training this week (?).
Jericho - Hernia. (Is he right to go?)
Watts - OP. (Is he right to go?)
Thommo - Shin splints. Should be ready for Wiz (?).

As stated in another thread Josh Krueger is back into full training.

Is Clarke injured? Everytime I've gone to training, he always comes out late and doesn't join the main group.

I think he is because he hasn't had one training session with the main group when I was there. Every time he is doing some handballing drills on the side.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I heard something about why he isn't training a while back, but I can't exactly remember why it was.

Eight Crows to miss trial matches

Adelaide expects to have at least eight players unavailable for two practice matches against combined Norwood-North Adelaide teams at Norwood Oval on Friday night.

The Crows' injury list comprises five experienced players - Ben Hart (hamstring recurrence), Tyson Edwards (hamstring niggle), Matthew Bode (quad strain), Chris Ladhams (hip strain) and Scott Thompson (shin soreness) - draftees Ivan Maric and Chris Knights (both with knee tendonitis) and rookie-listed Ryan Nye (hamstring niggle).

Hart will not play against Port Adelaide under lights at AAMI Stadium on Sunday week (February 20) in the opening round of the Wizard Home Loans Cup, but the other four senior players may well be available.

Friday night's matches will start at six o'clock and eight o'clock.

The winner of the Adelaide-Port match will play at Telstra Dome on Saturday night, February 26 against the winner of Sunday week's Geelong-Kangaroos match at Canberra's Manuka Oval.

The two losers of the February 20 cup matches will play in a Wizard Regional Challenge match at Port Lincoln the following Saturday.

Guess this means Kruegs will be playing which IMO can only be seen as a bloody fantastic thing.
Fingers crossed he can get through the game now :o
I will be very eager to see him play but I am not certain that I will be able to make it on friday :(.

If we beat Port in the Wizard Cup I won't be able to watch the game the following saturday as I have a wedding to attend :(

Geez Stiff, you're getting a raw deal aren't ya? ;)

I must say that I'm disappointed Nye won't be playing, because he's shown a lot so far and I was eager to hear about his first game in SA.

Great to hear that Krueger is most likely playing. :)

Jeez, theres a few concerns in that group. Seeing Benny hart on the list is disappointing but not unexpected. While Edwards has to be a bit worrying, thats two of our best out. The ones I'm particularly disappointed to see though are Bode, Ladhams and Thompson, we need these second string midfielders to get off to a good start and get their confidence up. Also having two 18 year olds with knee tendonitis cant be good, is it a symptom of a really hard preseason or have we recruited guys with established injury issues?

No mention of Krueger or Schuback, anyone got news on these guys? I'm aware Krueger is back training but will he be ready for the Wizza or R1? What about Schuback, anyone?

What about Schuback? The Sportal article doesn't mention him yet he hasn't trained due to his shoulder op has he?

Knights had tendonitis prior to being drafted. The club spun the line that he would have gone much earlier in the draft but for the knee, it is due to his body still growing, is manageable & should clear up once he stops growing. Time will tell.

Maric seems to have developed it during the pre-season.

Crows seek advice on Hart's hammy

Adelaide has sought further specialist examination of vice-captain Ben Hart's hamstring injury.

Hart has been examined at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

John Reid, Adelaide's general manager of football operations, said: "We just wanted to determine whether we had missed anything to do with Ben's injury. The bottom line was that we hadn't and we were told to keep heading down the same path."

Hart, 30, still hopes to play in the opening round of the home-and-away season - against West Coast at AAMI Stadium on Sunday, March 27.

The four-time All-Australian and dual club champion has played 276 AFL matches since 1992, but back and hamstring problems restricted him to only six appearances last season.

Reid said the latest problem with Hart's hamstring had occurred three weeks ago and was 'the same leg, different spot'.

Hart was one of six senior Crows rested from Friday night's two practice matches against combined Norwood-North Adelaide sides at Norwood Oval.

The other five were Tyson Edwards (hamstring), Matthew Clarke (quad), Matthew Bode (ankle), James Begley (hamstring) and Scott Thompson (shin).

Hart and Thompson will not be considered for the Wizard Home Loans Cup first-round match against Port Adelaide under lights at AAMI Stadium on Sunday week.

The Crows won Friday night's early match by six points - 6.5 (41) to 5.5 (35). It became virtually a Norwood-North youth trial in the second half after the already-undermanned Crows replaced seven of their players with youngsters from the SANFL teams.

Chris Ladhams kicked three of Adelaide's four first-half goals before he was rested at half-time, and he returned to kick another goal in the final quarter.

Half-back Luke Jericho, who played 15 matches last season - his first in the AFL - shone in the early trial, and two 18-year-old draftees, former Geelong Falcons ruckman John Meesen and super fit former West Perth midfielder Nathan Van Berlo, also were conspicuous in the first three quarters before they were rested.
