Here's a thread to talk about all our injury troubles.

Round 4 List
Jack Grimes – Back – Test
Simon Buckley – Groin – 1 week
James McDonald – Hamstring – 1 week
Austin Wonaeamirri – Hamstring – 1 week
Daniel Bell – Broken thumb – 1 week
Mark Jamar – Foot – 4 weeks
Paul Wheatley – Quadriceps tear – 5 weeks
Colin Garland – Foot – Indefinite

It would be good to have a few more of these players available for selection. Buckley would have to be worrying, no one seems to know the true extent of his injury, hopefully it isn't a bad case of OP.

Grimes' back is a worry. Stress fractures are a bitch and they just keep coming back. My mate had/has them, gun footy playing but was dropped from Oakleigh Chargers cause he could only play a couple of games before the fractures came back. Grimes will have to be managed until he's fully grown or maybe his whole life.

I'm a bit concerned with the pattern of multiple stress fracture and soft tissue injuries. I hope this is a result of coincidental bad luck and not a flawed training program.

Really hope these players with 1 week to their name are available for next week! Having a few mates over to watch the game (who are all Crows supporters) and would love to see the D's competitive and possibly pinch a win! Just like they did against the Crows at the 'G' a couple of years back when Bell laid that massive tackle in the goal square to save a certain Crows goal!

Hopefully Grimes will develop a mature musculature that prevents recurrence of the problem; no doubt he's on a program to increase his core stability. In the practice game against Sydney he looked to have the makings of an elite player.

Agreed.

If that list is anything to go by we will almost have our most competitive team for the Crows next week.

Will pose a few selection dilemmas for Bailey and Co too, and will hopefully make the young/fringe players go harder this week to try keep their spot.

Good signs

Might want to add Rohan Bail to that list...

Dandeman on Demonland:
For those who have been wondering, Rohan Bail has had a quad injury and should be back in the VFL next week, if not the week after. That's from the man himself.

Round 5 List
James McDonald – Hamstring – available
Simon Buckley – Groin – test
Austin Wonaeamirri – Hamstring – test
Daniel Bell – Broken thumb – test
Mark Jamar – Foot – 3 weeks
Paul Wheatley – Quadriceps tear – 4 weeks
Brad Green – Broken Jaw – 4-6 weeks
Colin Garland – Foot – Indefinite

Rohal Bail is one of those 'injured but not listed' types. Who knows how long he's out for.

No sooner does a player come off the list (Grimes) we manage to add another one on in Green.

What about Whealan? Injured, but not listed or coming back? Is he at Casey?

Hi guys, just was interested to know if Grimes would be running around your 2nds this week? He seemed to be tearing it up in the pre-season and I wish him all the best.

Theres an article on the AFL site called the "injury ladder." It lists how many players teams have missing along with how many games have been missed (inc. suspensions) by listed players.

We are currently sitting third, which suprised me, with an average of 12 players missing per round and 46 total matches missed by players.

I thought we were sitting OK with injuries etc. Certainly seemed that way pre-season.

How quickly 5 rounds can change that.

Does anyone know what is happening with Strauss. Have not heard anything regarding him and not listed in the injured group. Any one have any info
