Cheers mate.:thumbsu:
Spoke to your friend and mine on Monday night down at Willy and he had the same opinion. What do you think Bedford ?Oh gotta get him back on here it would make for some very entertaining reading

gentlemen, you have a willi connection?

back to team matters, bird must play, surely, and if spida's out i'd have white in first, not sure where currie's at with fitness
jude went well on sunday, but schmidt and bird in for mcveigh and crouch
white for spida
kennelly for malch
mattner for mathews
and buchanan in there somewhere
and a spot for DOK???
it's tricky

What reason is there to imagine that Roos will omit McVeigh? He's played every game for the past two seasons. Mathews is even less likely do be omitted - apart from injury problems in 2006 he's only missed three games in the past eight years. I just can't see it happening.

No, but we can all pray......

I would rate the omission of a fit Mathews, J Bolton or McVeigh as extremely unlikely.

I can imagine Bevan (missed round one in 2006, 2007) and/or Crouch (Schaublized) possibly making room for new blood (eg Bird, Jack) but more extensive changes would be unprecedented under Roos.

I would have to agree. Although I think we should play some kids ahead of Crouch and Mathews. But Jude Bolton is a lock in Roosys team. No chance of him not being there unless injured.

No, but we can all pray......

yeah, nuthin wrong with wishful thinking

just want to know why jesse white seems to be being overlooked here?
he was very good in limited use on sunday, and with everitt obviously behind the eight-ball, and no word on currie, and with playfair seemingly a fair way off even full training, white has to be very close to selection in round 1

the other out should be ken williams, does this guy love himself.
it would be good to see the players sing the club song without this bloke jumping about after a bloods victory.
rancid maybe the willi talk could go to the roomies thread

fair enough, start a thread

The team that played Collingwood was:
Barlow, Barry, Bevan, C Bolton, J Bolton, Crouch, Davis, Dempster, Everitt, Fosdike, Goodes, Hall, Jolly, Kirk, Malceski, Mathews, McVeigh, O'Keefe, O'Loughlin, Richards, Roberts-Thomson, Schneider

I guess that for round one (based on what little information we have) we'll see:

Certain outs: Dempster, Malceski (knee), Schneider;
Possible injuries: Everitt (knee ?), Fosdike (knee ?);
Possible omits: Barlow

Certain ins: Ablett, Mattner, Kennelly, Buchanan
Possible ins: Schmidt, Brennan

Any other likely ins or outs?

my round 1

b- bevan barry colton
hb- matthews LRT kennelly
c- mattner kirk fosdike
hf- o keefe hall buchanan
f- richards o loughlin davis
r- jolly jolton goodes

int- crouch barlow mcveigh bird

I am looking forward to seeing Craig Bird progress.People on the board seem to be in raptures about him but,in my eyes,he must have improved immensly in the off season as I saw him a couple of times in the two's last year and he was nowhere in the class of Schmidt,Moore,Barlow and Laidlaw.Another "time will tell" situation.

You're not seriously expecting any kind of change are you?

yes, seriously, i am
i will be really pssed off if we take basically the same side as finished last season into round 1
i don't see why (as i have said many times since september) certain players who were in that 22 are any more entitled to keep a place ahead of 5-6 blokes who are fighting for sports
why do the likes of bevan, crouch and mcveigh deserve places automatically ahead of schmidt, bird, moore, white, et al???

i dont see any point whatsoever in playing Crouch or Matthews this year. They add nothing to the team than a young up and comer can't add. They are mediocre at best and will not improve. As much as im not a big McVeigh fan, at least he is young and can improve.

totally agree on the first two, and am willing to concede you have a point about mcveigh (although he HAS had a fair crack)
to go in to round 1 with the same 22 as finished lasts eason would be a major backward step

who is a mcdud fan ?

meee, i lovee Mchack.

as with all you roomies, i admire your loyalty but not all of us see our swans players through your nat-coloured glasses
and surely, if you want to see some of the younger blokes get a run, mcvarmint's head is first on the chopping block
he has HAD ENOUGH CHANCES
