Will be good to see how Mourish looks and I hope Webster does very well to add more pressure on players positions in the team.
The line up will be interesting with Grover,Mcpharlin and Hayden out leaving only Dodd left.Any Ideas with who will replace them?

Good opportunity for Josh Head to show what he can do. We are pretty light on for a replacement full back though - maybe Campbell or Murphy can spend a bit of time down there.

I'll bet you a dollar he kicks 3. Just got a funny feeling he'll play well.

Only a dollar? Cheap bastard :p
And I bet you're the type of guy who'd be all like "Online bets mean nothing!"

Well sir, i'm going to call you on that. If Mourish kicks 3 i'll give you a dollar and a pint of beer.

Deal?:thumbsu:

Sweet...
Brockinator must still be a while off.

no need to unleash the FURY in a pathetic pre-season game Loch;)

whilst this is true, what is wrong with our resident spartan...???
seriously, does anyone know what kind of injury he is carrying????

We are starting to bring out the secret weapons.

North don't have a chance. ;)

If you're sure you can afford it, I'll take that bet. :thumbsu:

I may have to rob someone on the way. I do live in Kelmscott after all (Stereotyping!).

If he doesn't kick three, you have to buy me a pint of bees knees.

Sound fair to you?

Spewing that the Kiwi isn't back. How can he compete with Murphy for a spot if he isn't even on the field? This is possibly just a show of good faith to the Roos by our selection committee, they've recognised it's only a pre season game and there is no need for any skulls to be broken by big, angry New Zulanders.

Hey settle down. I only offered a dollar, you're the one who threw in the pint (which I like, because now I'm getting odds of about 10 to 1). :thumbsu:

All of a sudden I've got ten whole dollars riding on something that's highly unlikely. But I'm never one to shy away from a bet. If Mourish doesn't kick 3 I'll buy you a pint at J.B. O'Reilly's (Cambridge Street next to West Leederville station if you're not familiar with it, I don't like going into Subi) or a plastic cup of mid-strength.

Might have to be the round 3 derby or round 4 against the tigers, I'm rostered on for the Hawthorn game at Subi and not sure if I'll be able to swap shifts.

Go Calib!!!

Has he had a decent pre-season??

I hope so, because the boy can certainly play when he is fit and confident!:thumbsu:

Looks like a lean, mean, goal kicking machine from the snippets I've seen on the news.

We have a shitload of forward options (and with the benefit of hindsight should have probably drafted more true midfielders in recent years).

Mourish, Tarrant, Pavlich, Solomon, Campbell, Mayne, Palmer, Mourish, Kepler, Farmer, Webster, Schammer, Headland, Mark Johnson and Murphy all look best suited to full forward, a forward pocket or half forward this year. Dessie, Solomon and Schammer look the only two likely to play outside of the front six in 2008 so there will be massive competition for forward spots in the short term.

Sandi and Warnock will probably spend a fair bit of time forward tomorrow so I guess we couldn't fit in Campbell, Bradley, Tarrant, Murphy and Mourish in the side with just 4 on the bench. It would have been nice to have an intra-club game with Campbell in one goal square and Murphy in the other.

I'd like to see Campbell and Murphy both start the season in the WAFL, and if their form warrants it then get selected for Freo.

Cheers dom:thumbsu::)

However, I wouldn't label him as a forward option too quickly.:)

He had a crap pre-season through injury last year, he was fat, lacking in confidence and he was a very homesick boy.

To top that off, I have it on good authority, that C. Collard did his head in for a while as well.

He got a well deserved kick up the arse by being a de-listed rookie.

I have said it for a while, this kid,(if he keeps his attitude right) could be something out of the box.

Read.....midfield!!
