Still don't agree with our call on this. Blues have got themselves a good player (and one of my personal faves).

If hawks had an equivalent player they'd probably have extracted a 2nd rounder out of someone for them.

Adelaide has re-committed to rookie listing him on a 1 year deal. From what I've been told he would only move interstate if he was on a senior list and a multi year deal. I don't think a senior list spot or multi year deal will be forthcoming for him, particularly from us.

Well he aint going to play much senior footy on a rookie list. It would be stupid of him to turn down a chance on a senior list even if it was for one year with a trigger for two.

The way I worded the above post was terrible.

- CEY Would move interestate if there was a senior list spot + 2 year deal on offer.

So you don't think we'd consider senior listing him? I'd certainly consider it, he has some real talent.

They did. His name was Billy Hartung and he was delisted. The value of players that can't win their own ball has hit rock bottom.

We have previously, but I don't think its an option this year with him coming off a knee reco.

Just wouldn't make sense for us considering we already have a number of longer term injuries on our senior list. Ahern, Jacobs, Wright and now Watson.

DFA has only been open for 24 hours so you're going a bit early there.
Plus clubs pick up players to suit needs. I wouldn't argue that Alex Morgan is better than Lachie Hansen just because we threw him a lifeline.

He played one game in round 22. Then it swelled up and he had to have another clean out i'm pretty sure.

Surely there are better options than CEY? He's like miles-lite and can't stay on the field. I'd rather we give hanson a go or use the opportunity to push one of our own like clarke or mountford. CEY is a dime a dozen inside mid. They can be found scattered all over the state leagues.

I honestly haven't seen him play much footy. Whats he like?

Strong inside mid who likes to tackle and keeps his feet in the contest. Little on the slow side, but still covers the ground well.

His biggest point of difference is his kicking, its long and really good when he is in space.

Biggest downside, he is injury prone.

You'd think if we end up delisting Swallow we could offer him 1 year with a trigger like Morgan. 190cm inside mids don't grow on trees, and I've loved his aggression when I've seen him play in the past.
