A Edwards in and Vickery stays closer to goal whilst swapping in the ruck. Be interesting, from all reports Jack is as good as anyone doing the recovery work and rehab, and the article mentions Waite who had to sit out a while with a similar injury, but has been mentioned a few times as being very lazy when it comes to looking after himself when injured.

Would of been less damage if they kept him off the ground from the start, bad habit you have playing limping injured players, dimma! bad, bad habit.

Pull your head in.. It's a speculative article. Read it first. There is no factual information or quotes from player or club.
It's all heresay at this stage.

So don't pot the coach.

Agree, the writer has no idea to what extent jack has hurt his knee. Then he compares his recovery time to that of a player that is constantly riddled with injury problems, has already done an acl as well as having other related knee problems throughout his career. Rubbish article.

He'll be fine.

They're speculating based on the worst case scenario. It's like saying 'he did a hammy and might miss 6 weeks because Buddy missed 6 weeks with a hammy last year'.

I'd be shocked if Riewoldt is 100% fit for the first final.
I'd be shocked if Riewoldt does not play in the first final.

The only way he doesn't play is if it is an injury that may cause irreparable damage by playing with it. If the worst that can happen is that he deals with pain and maybe a few extra weeks of bruising after the season is over, then they'll give him some pain killers and get him out there.

As well as this, from memory I believe when Waite hurt his knee it was that bad initial fears were that he did his acl. I seem to recall it looking a lot worse than jack and I presume that would cause more severe bone bruising? Don't know how he can compare cases like for like.

DEPTH. As has been said, more room for Azza, McGuane and Ty. Or Griff perhaps. But the thing is with McGuane and Aaron they both have given a lot this year, cos the depth is there for the first time in years. Funnily enough I'm not too worried. Give him the next two weeks off, he'll be right.

If have to play our first final with Edwards, McGuane and Vickery as our three talls, we will be leaving at half time. The opposition will have a field day running the ball out of defence.
This is why we need to put some games into McBean next year at some stage. Given that we have gifted games to a hack like Lonergan, I find it infuriating that McBean wasn't given a taste at some stage.

Oh well Jack haters. Here's your chance to see how the forward line functions without him over the next couple of weeks. Watch and learn! :thumbsu:

A) not dimma's call whether he comes back on. If the doctors clear him then the doctors clear him.

B) if there was risk of further damage he wouldn't have come back on

C) he didn't hurt himself when he came back on

Good argument though.
