I wouldn't be against going after Dal Santo which I saw somewhere. Upgrade on Grigg, whose role can be better played by Ellis anyway. Dal Santo maybe a tad old though.

Is he out of contract, then it favours him, if not, he will be at Melbourne.

If he is out of contract, he can walk and take his luck in the draft where someone will give up their last pick in the draft for a number 1 pick, Melbourne will be trying to get something for a failed #1 pick, leaves for something or nothing, either way gone.

If he is still in contract, Melbourne will not just take anything for a #1 draft pick, and no club would be prepared to give up anything of significance to get him, stalemate, stays at Melbourne
