If Jack Watts was drafted at pick 70 instead of 1, would he of been delisted by now?

no, at 196cm and 23 years of age he's no worse than Sam Reid, Jesse White, Aaron Black, Liam Jones et al

Too good at the essential skills of the game.

These questions are so stupid. There's a reason that he was drafted at #1. If he'd gone at 70 we'd be saying "I can't believe a player with his skills/athletic ability slipped so low", and he'd have been able to play with none of the pressure that's been heaped on him since first coming to the club. No #4 jersey, no QB debut, no attention from opposition players/supporters, no media hype.

Black is much better than any of those players. And Jones and White have been shopped around by their clubs. If Watts isn't delisted, he surely should be traded, he just brings bad news to the club and doesn't really add that much to the side that a decent second rounder would provide. The only time he kicks goals is when he finds a mismatch. He has talent but you'd think his game would have clicked by now, at 23, he's not a kid anymore.

the question was would he be delisted, shopped around does not equal delisted.

I can't see any club bettering that?

The rumours in the media are GC and Adelaide. They would be stupid to offer up any of 8, 10 and 15. Admittedly I don't know much about Lyons, but 21 is probably just as good an offer? I'm unsure about what each party reportedly wants for this trade - is it Watts wanting out, Melbourne put the word out to test the waters, or clubs have ID'd Watts as the one for them. If it's even a little bit the first 2, 21 or Lyons (again, unsure of his worth) would surely have to be the best likely offer?

The dilemma with Watts is that he'd probably be a "good player in a good team".....but a "good team" probably wouldn't need him.

Whose place would he take at Hawthorn or Sydney, for example? He'd be no lock to make best 22.

My preference is to keep him
