Traded Jake Stringer [traded to Essendon]

I'd expect that type of crap from an Essendon poster. Even if 2018 is just average, 2017 is pretty poor according to a lot of pundits.

My point is last years draft was poor and that this years class is much better, Now they're saying this one is poor and next years is better, It never ends.

Why are they giving up picks to help Melbourne land a player?

Lever deal will be relatively simple if the Dees are happy to give up two picks. 2017 and 2018 and it's done. The future draft pick trading makes these kind of scenarios far easier.

When did he nominate Melbourne?

Your reference to Liam 'pure as the driven snow' Pickering was the piece de resistance of a wonderful effort, clearly :)

It was a slightly dirty feeling watching Hutchy's Forum today.

Young, dumb, breathtakingly talented, loose cannon, money making Jake Stringer.......surrounded by seven slimy leeches. Hutchy, Pickers, Dodoro, Barratt, Lloyd, Connors and i forget the 7th.....

....actually Lloydy's not that slimy i guess......just a tad wet behind the ears for a 40something guy.

Bombers are on a clear mission to change the narrative, that they've hard earned, that they are a nightmare in Trade month. I guess Liam Pickering's wry smile and eyeroll while sitting next to Adrian as he tried his latest debunk of his reputation was all that was needed. Was the highlight of Hutchy's set piece forum today i thought.

Bring on Trade week. Bring on Adrian's antics.........or has Adrian finally been told that this is now a new, play well with others, Essendon.

Will we get AnticsAdrian....or will we get NewBoringAdrian. We wait and see.
hope we get to see the CanWeGetAFirstRoundPickForKeplerBradleyAdrian

Lovely guy and great footballer... yeah.

He's a showman, you just know he'll produce when it matters ;)

I actually quite like Lloydy. Which is kinda strange as he clearly hates Carlton. Hated him as a footballer....because he was a champion. But don't mind him as a journo. He's not a scumbag. Just a little sheltered.

And yeah, like StevieJ, i hope AnticsAdrian once again shines....even if it's just junktime goals like haggling for a fortnight over Pick 70 instead of Pick 68 for StewC.

.
I'm the same. Despised him as a footballer, but kinda like him on Footy Classified. Seems to be mastering a good TV troll face grin.

It doesn't matter what clubs can offer over each other - all depends on who Stringer picks. I imagine all three clubs will offer decent trade though - they aren't dicks and it's just hurting future trade prospects if they are.

This.

You're only saying this because your club has nothing to trade for him. Unless you can procure some value from somewhere else you're no chance.

Essendon's pick 11, maybe plus something, is probably the bottom line now. If you can't beat that you're not getting him.

St Kilda or even Collingwood hold all the cards here. Chucking in VFL players is a waste of time.

Once a player says they want out and the coach says the same, you are never gonna get what you think is fair value for him.

If you watched today's panel and came away thinking he and his manager are going to nominate the one club that doesn't have the currency to actually trade for him, you've got rocks in your head.

What you're saying would only be relevant if he can walk. He can't. The club's said if we don't get what we want he's coming back. Whether we do it or not, the option is there, unlike with a free agent.

I think you have rocks in your head if you think a team is gonna throw huge value at a player who isn't wanted by his club and desperately wants out, on top of having a terrible season with unknown personal issues. To each his own.

You're gorgeous. Come back and talk to me when he nominates Geelong and we give you next years first round pick.

No he is saying that because that's generally how the vast majority of trades work under the current system, nothing to do with stringer specifically.

Geelong also have a lot more than 'nothing' to offer.
