Whiteoak is not a troll.
Ive had disagreements with him and sometimes think he goes overboard with his opinions but not a troll.

He has his opinions and doesnt back down.
If he doesnt like someones opinion he lets them know, sometimes going a little too far.

No holding back with him.
Not worried about the political correctness, over protective crap.

Just tells it how he sees it.
Not always right but aslong as he stays away from personal attacks on others for their opinion no matter how dumb it is, he's fine.

Care to name names as to who those arseholes and fools are freo shark? Just as a favour to them, as they struggle under the misapprehension that they are only expressing opinions when they post. Cheers.

Well, you're definitely not one of them, if that is any consolation at all.

I'm betting that it isn't though.

Bushie is the anti troll. Doesnt suffer fools or arseholes, plenty of which we get in here.

Dont worry about him unless you speak shit.

Absolutely correct weight for mine and the burgeoning numbers of posters with the manner of school sharks with regard to someone who is simply a thoughtful and robust contributor is a sad indictment on our board's ability to accept contention as part of the game IMHO.

Caterina, you are neither obviously. I dont intend to name names.

Not every dickhead on the internet is automatically a troll.

There are other categories. Flamers are as bad if not worse.

I'm not going to rehash a boring argument played out pages ago, but suffice to say, you were cornered on your incorrect yet inflammatory posts made regarding the nature of Melbourne's sometimes absent benefactors, similar to posts you make on many threads, and the next thing that happens is you get banned.

And you call this 'punishment'. It's an internet forum. Deal with it.

Yes, your damning argument that the MFC deserves to be propped up ad infinitum because you didn't want to see your MFC supporting "friends" get upset and offended was far too much for me to rebutt.

It was a stunning piece of prose on your behalf. Really cut through the bullshit and got to the core of the issue.:thumbsu:

In all of your hyperbole here, you are yet to address the injustice of this continuing farce of bailing out an unviable entity. With the exception of your "friends" argument and that having 17 teams in the comp is somehow a bad thing.

You bag out Tasmania with economic rationalistic tripe, yet fail to see the hypocrisy in the multi-million dollar handouts given to a club that has zero chance of viability in the future.

You talk a big game, but the reality is you have built one of the bigger strawmen seen on here in a fair while.

At least eight clubs in the AFL are not independently viable entities. Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, GWS, Melbourne, Bulldogs, North Melbourne and Port Adelaide all rely on AFL assistance to remain in the league.

Sydney have been propped up for 20 years, have been one of the more successful sides in that period, and have a number of associated concessions to assist them, yet still cannot reliably turn a profit. In a city of 4.5 million. When will this club be viable? Why do they continually get concessions and handouts which actually are distorting the league?

The reality is that the AFL is heavily reliant on a handful of clubs supporting the rest of the league. Killing Melbourne won't make North Melbourne or the Western Bulldogs any more viable. Killing all of those three won't make Collingwood any more profitable. It will undermine the status of the game in Melbourne, which as much as Sydney, is the reason why the TV networks pay over $1 billion for the rights.
