I couldn't find it anywhere, but here is the ladder after the JLT series.

What can you take from this for the season ahead? Absolutely nothing. You would be a brave person to think that this would be the way the ladder sits at the end of the 2018 season.

Thats a brilliant top 8, love that to be the same at the end of round 23

Week one finals fixture
Friday night: Richmond vs Melbourne, MCG
Saturday: Gold Coast vs Sydney, Metricon
Saturday night: Carlton vs Port Adelaide, MCG
Sunday: GWS vs Fremantle, Spotless

Wouldn’t expect that to be a massive drawing first week
I would feel that Tigers vs Dees in the first week would be up there. Tiger Army in full force and Melbourne finally returning to finals. A Carlton return to finals at the MCG would also draw very well.

GWS v Freo

I'd have more people at my place for Easter lunch.

Ok, I will stick my neck out and say that the clubs looked a bit more fair dinkum this year. Previous pre seasons have largely been a joke.

Having said that I don't think Gold Coast or Carlton will make the 8 but the winless clubs may struggle a bit. Geelong may be the exception due to their home ground advantage.

I decided to do the ladder for last years 2017 JLT series to see how closely it ended up resembling the final ladder of 2017.

What does this mean? Either your JLT results will somewhat resemble your final season performance, or is no indicator at all. Flip of the coin, really.

Yeah fickle Richmond fans staying away for a likely loss :p
