Josh Kelly to saints?

Rumour that Saints are meeting Josh Kelly tonight. GWS need draft pick points because they have four academy kids coming through next year.

It's been a rumour for a while that the Saints were into him but Stevie J's arrival apparently has speeded up the process.

Would be huge get. GWS surely won't have all of Treloar, Lamb, Plowman, Tomlinson, Phillips, Sumner, Hampton + Kelly go. They have to decrease their list so ok to let Phillips, Lamb etc go but already two very good talents in Treloar (gone) and Tomlinson (???) on market. Can't let Kelly go too.

Hypothetically though:
Pick 5 to Crows for 9 & 13
Pick 9 + ??? to GWS for Josh Kelly
Pick 13 to Essendon for Jake Carlisle

Thoughts? I don't know how GWS and Essendon would view it but personally think it's pretty close considering circumstances around each one.

In: Carlisle, Kelly, Freeman, 2015 second rounder (24), third rounder (45), fourth rounder (64)
Out: 5, 2016 2nd rounder (22-30), ????, Schneider

Any trade would involve almost certainly involve St Kilda's 2016 first rounder (and whatever else).

If GWS had that in their back pocket, they could either elect to take it to the draft, or split it up into a multitude of weaker picks that, combined, have a greater points value. That flexibility would be extremely handy to have, as it saves them from chasing extra picks in the trade period next year to pay for several up and coming academy kids, and potentially being ripped off by clubs who would attempt to capitalise on their potential desperation.

46 on the list for the moment which is the max for the next season so have to move on the equal amount of players that we want to bring in, plus need to create some cap room with the likes of Whitfield coming out of contract next year
