I'm thinking about getting Moreira's Magic onto my YouTube for an interview if there is demand/interest.

If you do, can you get better mics and maybe sort your background out? Perhaps look at how you frame the shot?

Thanks for the feedback.

My microphone is actually a really good one and one I hope to have for a long time (or it's supposed to be - Rode NT USB). I might have to play around with it to make the sound more consistent. I may play around with the height of it as I suspect any sound issues relate to the microphone being too low and away from my face. I'm not a microphone expert but happy to take ideas on how to make it work more consistently to produce the sound it should be producing.

I'm not working with much in terms of how I can frame a shot. I have a very limited space to work with and as long as I live where I do, I'll have to continue using the space I currently use, but any times with maximising that space though I'm open to suggestions if there is a way to make it present better.

KM, what do you know about Will Bravo?

He has some x-factor to him. Breaks the lines, moves the ball on aggressively, can win it on the move. Contested side to his game good also. So there are some tools to work with that make him potentially developable across a few different positions potentially. He's worth taking a closer look at and had the season gone ahead may well have gotten drafted.

Thanks mate. Appreciate the summary.

can you do a fantasy keeper power rankings? Remembering that lots of leagues have 40 squads. So power ranks can consider 3 years in advance

I've had insane demand re. keepers leagues and I plan to create a YouTube video on that very topic and I'd like to make it of a quality where it's a one stop shop and covers everyone - whether they're Supercoach or AFL Fantasy, and whatever time horizons, needs etc.

To be clear, your league runs for three years then concludes? So it's basically just scoring for a three year period?

40 teams? How many players per team in each position?

Do the positions match the positions as in Supercoach/AFL Fantasy? Do they evolve over time and change as positions in those games change from year to year?

If you have a link to an example league so I can get a clearer understanding of the concept that would be helpful. It would also be good to see a few more leagues to get a feel for the kind of variations so that I know exactly what information would be helpful to provide.

Are there competitions with 5 year time horizons? 10 year time horizons? Infinite? Are there differences in how many teams? Are they all structured traditionally with a certain number of midfielders, forwards, defenders and rucks?

If you or others could write up a list of questions you'd like for me to answer so that you can extract the most relevant/important information for a keepers league that would also help guide my video.

the 3 year thing was regarding that leagues go for years. So players don’thave to break out/get games straight away. People are happy to wait a couple seasons

keeper league structures vary. Lots of 40 squads with 37 keepers, right down to leagues that only keep 12. Deep keepers are where the addicts are, with people loving list management

So it's a list management game with Supercoach or AFL Fantasy scoring. Got it.

How many teams usually in a league?

Is it like only the field score? And certain numbers in certain positions are needed?

I've never gotten enough detail from people who play to be able to really ever feel comfortable addressing the concept.

I've just never understood the look/feel/concept to be able to talk about it - having never seen it in action.

Every league is different, but really it's just forecasting who will be a long term fantasy asset regardless of whether they take a while to come on.

KM what are your thoughts on Jackson Callow. Could he play the role Stratton played for Hawthorn.

I'm a big time Callow fan and have been for a long time.

Other than perhaps some die hard Tasmanian football watchers there may not be anyone else in the country to have rated him higher in last year's draft.

Whether it's as a key forward or key defender he's developable, and this year in the TSL he was superb in defence.

He's a taller and bigger man than Stratton. Callow isn't an athlete and that's where he wouldn't match Stratton, but what he does have is 1v1 strength and he's as a contested mark and intercept mark the better player. He's ideally used as a KPP, but a third tall role could be possible though. He's got the football smarts where I wouldn't rule out that possibility.

So he could be a Gunston replacement in a few years.

Yet another possible vision.

He's not Gunston calibre, few are.

But has for me the scope to develop at either end as a big body.

He's one I'd probably start as a key forward, but if he doesn't develop as a key forward, flip him back, and he can develop there and keep him there.

So many of those bigger bodied, contested marking types come good in defence. Or you could just play him there from the start.

It's one of those cases where the option is there for the club drafting him to do what they like with him.

most common league is something league this

DT scores on UF

starting teams
5x backs
7x mids
1x ruck
5x forwards

then emerg for each to loophole

then reserves. Depends on how deep. Up to 20 odd which means you can stash players. Hence keeper league guys love to track kids from u18s. Really the perfect crowd for what you do.

player values

high
- high draft picks
- gun kids that have shown a heap. From last year Rowell, Anderson, green, Serong, day and rivers are in demand now. People research rookies to try nailing their picks
- and premo player holds heaps of value up until around 28yrs old.
- rucks like Grundy and worth a mint

leagues trade
- players
- draft picks
- leagues starting to trade futures now

lots of leagues are $50-$100 buy in. People are seriousthese

keepers will draftee scout hundreds of hours a year. Are always craving new content to read.

Ranks this year for example. The top 2 race across most lists seems to be between the 2 kangas mids. Lots rate Powell because of his scoring. Going early on a Powell can be boom or bust tho... like Ben Keays or Valente in recent years

AFL career, role, fantasy position and elite ability is obviously key together with scoring potential

That's the detail I needed and gives me something to work with.

I'll put a few videos together before the start of the season with those ideas in mind. Thanks.

KM think Adam Cerra & Luke Davis Uniack are going to have break out years for there respective teams !
Do you agree & if you had to pick one who would it be ?

I like Cerra based on 2020 play and if I could only have one, as things stand, he's my guy. The benefits he brings to the table are his added versatility and superior skills.

Cerra I see getting more midfield minutes this year which should see his numbers increase (I'd actually like to see Serong spend more time forward *something like a 50/50 mid/fwd split given Fremantle's front half deficiencies and given Serong's junior capabilities forward, to allow for an expanded midfield rotation), but LDU in his own right looks set for a breakout season which will be fun to watch as he's a seriously influential player when he's up and going.

It's a genuine discussion though between the two.

For LDU to surpass Cerra, I'd like to see him develop his forward craft. Ideally, if he could become that out of the goal square forward which he showed as a junior he can also do. That's when as per my evaluation then, that LDU is the better of the two.

Why Jake Lloyd's production will reduce in 2021:

Re your comments on Serong forward, his midfield development is currently allowing both Fyfe and Walters to spend time forward, and by doing so extending their careers. Fremantle will also prioritize the development of Henry and Sturt forward, and Western would be expected to debut. As well as Cerra spending more time on the inside Valente should be rolled into the side, and he projects as an inside mid specialist, so it will be another season advancing the emergence of the midfield.

You have been an advocate of tall mobile wings and with a packed defensive unit that seems a logical way for Chapman to earn a place. His training looks terrific and his running power will be an asset.

Valente needs midfield minutes this year, and like you I share the vision towards Cerra playing more inside.

I place some of Fremantle's mids in the versatile category and others in the just midfield category. Cerra, Serong, Fyfe - they're all versatile. Walters I'd use mostly as a forward and only as needed for a burst I'd place him in there. But then a Brayshaw and Valente probably wouldn't look great in other positions comparatively.

Western being a productive small probably gets games.

Chapman I'd be more inclined to use in defence, but if he can adapt to wing and still find enough of it along there, I wouldn't say no. He's a round 1 starter for me, but we'll have to see whether Fremantle agree.

I'm finding I'm really liking Fremantle's young group. It's a group with genuine top-8 chances this year, with a lot more capable young talent on Fremantle's list than most realise.

With Western, Walters and Henry getting opportunities as forwards as well as Switkowski and Schultz, I can’t see Serong getting significant time there unless it is an occasional switch with Walters. At training he is the man extracting the ball. A major improvement for us is more goals from our midfielders, not just from our forwards.
