Knightmare did you see Heeneys performance today? Has it changed anything in power rankings?

If Jezza hadn't've been taken by GWS, would his name have been on clubs' radar's?

Did you know who he was in 2009 and 2010?

Cameron would still have been picked around that top 5 mark without being that top overall selection had he not gone to GWS.

In 2010 I was aware of him without having seen a large sample size of his games. The talk was generally at the time he was among GWS' better young players without anyone talking about him quite that early as their franchise player.

Just a message KM, please don't hype up balic next year, saints need him to slide to their 2nd ;)

Balic was good today and one of my standouts for the day for AIS.

O'Kearney and Mills were the best midfielders for AIS and Ah Chee's influence up forward I could really feel and was excited by.

Some good names next year. Maybe not that same quality of talls but some good midfielders and general forwards next year.

Heeney performed strongly and did his usual thing without being in my very top few on the ground. He did all the hard stuff inside as he generally does. It's neither a performance that has improved or worsened his stocks in my mind.

Most of the mail about the GWS prelistees was to do with Treloar and Shiel IIRC. Cameron wasn't popularly regarded prior to the 2012 season, though I guess that doesn't mean much.

If...This is an if. If we get pick 2 and 3 (frawley compensation) for dangerfield, what do you reckon we will draft KM?

Could be any number of players.

Brayshaw and Durdin could be an option considered. Lever, McCartin and Wright could all plausibly be considered.

Cockatoo will look good in Blue & White for the Kangaroos.

Cockatoo would also look in the black and white. After his performance yesterday I expect a few clubs will really want to take him somewhere in the national draft.

KM Jake Lever is now 194cm, Confirmed by the Calder Cannons

Is there an article confirming it?

I'll update the heights and weights when afl.com release the draft combine measurements in any case.

Knight didn't you now rate Moore better then durdin?

I do slightly prefer Moore to Durdin. Durdin is the better key defender. Moore the better key forward.

Would really like Jack Steele in the B&W! Damn GWS academy haha!

I think many of us would which is a good sign GWS will nominate him. Love his work overhead particularly.

If Pickett is gone by our pick, I reckon wce should pick up Weller over Ahern. He just seems like the smarter player with great skills. Even though Simpson has been going on about adding size, which Weller doesn't fit that scheme, he has also emphasized the need of players playing multiple positions that are smart and have skills, and too me Weller fits this. Do you reckon wce are considering Weller Knightmare?

KM cheers for the effort put in again in 2014. Do we have any idea what the rough draft order will be before trade and free agency period.

I assume Richmond currently have # 11, Fremantle # 12, Geelong # 13, GCS Compo # 14, North # 15, Port # 16, Sydney # 17 and Hawthorn # 18?

OK KM, if you were the Brisbane Lions recruiter and have to deal with the Pies what would you give up for him? personally I would only offer pick 4 as next year when he left as a restricted free agent the pies would only get an end of rd 1 pick (if compared to when Buddy left).

and are you going to do an updated version of the mock Draft before the actual Draft or r you going to wait until the father-son & academy players are decided.

Beams isnt a free agent till end of 2016 - just uncontracted at the end of next season - so effectively (unless you win the wooden spoon next year) you will still have to offer something to get him.

Personally i think Beams is worth more than pick 4. but we may have to accept this UNLESS Gold Coast come on board and offer up their first pick and 1 of their quality kids - wouldnt mind pick 7/8+ a prestia(probably a reach), lonergan, McKenzie, or even a Day, Lynch or Dixon. Omeara would be a dream but just wont happen.

that would force Brisbane to up their ante and offer their pick 4 as well as a quality kid i.e. Maise/Aish.

I favour Weller over Ahern also and on reviewing his game these past couple of days I'm increasingly liking what he offers. Just has that bit of extra talent. I would be surprised if WCE were not considering Weller. Looks like a list fit to me also and a great backup plan if Pickett is unavailable.

Luke Ball says your logic is wrong.

Reverse Sydney and Hawthorn's picks but otherwise the picks will be as on page one until compensation picks happen.

Where do you think Cockatoo gets picked up, KM? Would love him at North.

I feel around the 3rd round Cockatoo is a real shot to get selected. Had a terrific game yesterday. Anyone looking for an injection of pace will be looking at him I imagine.

Beams isn't a free agent. His contract will end next year but he will not be a free agent under the current rules. He could be traded pretty easily this time next year and not lose any value so dealing with Brisbane would not be on my list of priorities.

Collingwood have the opportunity to play hardball and have no real reason to move Beams at this point and I imagine likely won't unless a three way deal involving Dangerfield comes out of the blue or Gold Coast offer a particularly aggressive offer, or at least as a Collingwood fan that would be my expectation of the club.

Brisbane would love to trade pick 4 to Collingwood (which could be pick 5 after Frawley presumably leaves and Melbourne get an early compensation selection) but in Collingwood's situation given the club has just drafted Scharenberg (6), Freeman (10), Grundy (18), Kennedy (19), Broomhead (20) and Adams through trade week all in the past couple of seasons I see Collingwood's interest in rebuilding as ended and the club to now look at established players only.

In Collingwood's situation I would be more inclined to deal not with Brisbane, but instead Gold Coast who have players who are more attractive than the players Brisbane would be willing to give up in a trade scenario.

In Brisbane's situation given Hanley, Rockliff and Aish would be considered the untouchables I would be offering one of Rich and Redden and trying to work out a secondary strong piece to put with them that appeals to Collingwood and therein will lie the challenge for Brisbane if fair dinkum about getting a deal done.
