It was a bit silly by Leroy, clearly late to the contest, and completely unnecessary.

Hope it gets thrown out, but he needs to cut back on the undisciplined acts.

He as well as a few others have been playing like shit, so what's it matter.

I know we have been winning comfortably but there are a few players cruising by and playing sub par but because the team is so good getting by.

Played very well tonight I thought, his best game this year for sure

Re the report, a Richmond player deflected his arm just prior to contact.

That, together with the open hand and limited force, should hopefully see him cleared.

It was stupid but extremely soft. Would anyone be surprised if the MRP did suspend him for it? I don't think they will but you can't be too sure with what they're thinking.

Should have kicked him in the balls instead. Would definitely get off the charge then. Something this soft will probably land him a few weeks...

Does anyone honestly think we would be worse off without him this year?

For me he is getting a game solely off the 2nd ruck role or lack there of suitable replacement ie mobile aggressive forward come ruck, taking into account we are no longer the young skinny team that needs protecting and his lack of influence on the game.

He does more than the tough man stuff, he makes the 3rd tall defender accountable so they can't double team Cloke and Dawes as easily or fill a hole so to speak. Add to that he makes sure players aren't too comfortable running the ball out around him. Creates contests, takes a good pack mark, can kick a long goal. He hasn't been firing but he's still important to our structure even if he isn't playing like he did in the 2nd half of last year.

So the multiple times Dawes and Cloke had 2v1s was all in my head ?

Currently he is not getting to dangerous spots and is getting pealed off of by his opponents, his physicality was great and set a good example although I don't think they need a big brother to hold their hands any more in this regard.

He is not doing enough in terms of getting the footy and in general influencing the contests for others to warrant his spot.

On the incident, he'll be fine

On his form, i dont think he looks as hungry as he did towards the end of last season. He seems to be going through the motions a bit.

Im all for playing Keefe ahead of him for a couple of games, and if i remember correctly it was after a little spell in the twos that Leroy came to be the big bad unit he was last season

I must be on my own in thinking he was absolutely terrible last night. Was at the game and the amount of times he ran around in a circle while his opponent burnt him was unbelievable. And don't even get me started on the amount of VERY stupid frees he gave away. He has had a terrible start to the season.

I am hoping he comes good because he is one of my favourite players to watch and barrack for and is a vital cog in our machine. Hopefully when we get up against the big boys we see a return to last years form!!

Obviously there are a few players who are yet to hit the peak form of last year. Brown is on of them, but I thought he played a pretty good game last night. When he starts getting those shots on goal he'll look far better.

On the report? WTF? No chance he'll get any weeks, it was even a soft 50.

ON The ANVIL......doubt him at your peril!!!!

This questioning whether or not Leeroy should play on ANZAC day need to take a step back and look at out opponents today.

If there's one thing the "in form" bombers lack, it's pure physicality, they are not a physically strong side, and as such, a player like Brown is defintely required.

Add to the fact that Brown won as many (or even more) hitouts on average "per minute in the ruck" as Wood did last night, and Leeroy, when he is cleared of this joke of a report, will play next week.

Plus, as the moment, there is no one who can play Leigh's role, as the backup ruck and 3rd key forward.

Keeefe is a defender, of that there is no doubt, and while his height would allow him to play as the second ruck also, he hasn't spent enough time at VFL level in the ruck to develop into that role at senior level yet.

Leeroy plays next week, especially seeing who our opponent is.

Yes, we would be worse off.

Having another lumbering ruckman without the versatility and athleticism of Leroy will slow us down big time.

I thought Leroy was very good last night. Definitely his best game for the year.

As for the report, rubbish. Thrown out.

He was late to the contest because he was being intentionally obstructed from it by a Tiger.

As was Maxy at another point in the game. (Graham making 20 out in front, I think) You actually see Maxy hold back on the remonstration until it appears on the screen at the ground, at which point his contempt for the incompetent whistleblower bubbles over.

Both obvious, both should have been Pies frees.

I'm glad someone else thought that. When I was watching last night I thought that is clearly a free kick to Brown, instead he goes on report.

Ahhh, you gotta love the umpires of this game. :thumbsd:
